Fame has lost its claim

On another well known name,

And it’s a tragic shame,

So many decades of sweet magic

But we keep losing all those classics

and death’s to blame….

and it cuts through our souls

Like a Bowie Knife

David past away

on a Sunday Night…..

perhaps he’ll find Life On Mars

somewhere beyond earth’s stars,

find universal acclaim.

He’s turned to face the Strange

Chhh-chh-chh Changes death arranged

He’s Ziggy Stardust now,

He’s now The Man Who Fell From Earth

Back to the time before his birth,

I can almost hear him say “Wow!”

As he teaches all the aliens style……

His Golden Years are Dust,

Cancer claimed him so unjust

After an 18 month fight,

The Next Day…left us emptied

All The Young Dudes…will  mourn his loss

Wild Is The Wind…. that gave him flight.
