Alfa Anderson

Throughout the '70s, she recorded background vocals for Odyssey, Major Harris, and Roy Buchanan. Alfa also sang on the Quincy Jones-produced soundtrack to The Wiz.

Alfa Anderson began her professional singing career alongside some of the industry's most talented vocalists and musicians.
Throughout the '70s, she recorded background vocals for Odyssey, Major Harris, and Roy Buchanan. Alfa also sang on the Quincy Jones-produced soundtrack to The Wiz.

Alfa Anderson's life changed when Luther Vandross invited her to a vocal session for Chic. At the time, Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards had just formed the group with Tony Thompson on drums and Norma Jean Wright on lead vocals. She sang background on Chic's first two singles for Atlantic Records, "Dance, Dance, Dance (Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah)" and “Everybody Dance," which both brought Chic to the top of the dance charts for seven consecutive weeks in 1977. After joining Chic on tour, Alfa was promoted to lead vocalist, a role she and Luci Martin
shared from 1978-1983.

The group's second album, C'est CHIC (1978), was a critical and commercial tour de force. It featured Anderson's two solo numbers, "At Last I Am Free" and the gold-selling single "I Want Your Love." Alfa and renowned session vocalist Diva Gray both sang lead on "Le Freak,"
Rodgers and Edwards' ode to Studio 54. The song not only became Chic's most successful single but, for more than 30 years, was the biggest-selling single in Atlantic's history. "Le Freak” topped the Hot 100 for three weeks and went to number one on both the R&B and disco singles
charts, quickly earning gold and platinum certifications. C'est CHIC was later named "1979 R&B Album of the Year" by Billboard after it topped the R&B chart for eleven weeks.

Shingai

Born in St. Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands Sina Luv grew up traveling the world, due to her Father’s military background. This would be the start of her musical career. She began playing live instruments in the 5th grade. By the time she got to Middle School, she began playing the Clarinet and would later switch to Baritone Sax. As her journey continued, she would go on to join her first singing group in 1991-1992 in Germany. This event would lead to shows and television interviews in Germany. Unfortunately due to relocation, the group was broken up. She moved to Jonesboro, Georgia, right outside of Atlanta Georgia. Eventually she moved to Panama City, Florida and hooked up with Kevin Pain to form the group SK1. The group would go on to meet other artist and producers in the industry, such as: Gee and B. Love of Fantasy Island, in Panama City, Florida. Eager to learn everything about the music business, she would soon meet Floyd Miller, recording artist, producer, and one of the founding members of the group SLAVE. Along side of him, they would ambitiously become a joint production team known today as WESMIL PRODUCTIONS.

Jennifer McQuaid

Born and raised South of Boston in a small town on the coast.
Currently reside here in the great state of Maine.
Music has always been a huge part of my life.
Started early learning trumpet and bass guitar
Now I play an acoustic 12 string as my main
instrument, play bass and dabble in piano for creative purposes.
My creative journey has led me down many paths.
I've met many wonderful and talented people. I have
been in a few successful local bands through out my life. I have been on a few
local radio stations. I am a published songwriter and a member of ASCAP
Mostly I enjoy the creative process of writing
original material. I have performed out on the streets of Boston.
I have recorded some songs in a few studios but as most musicians
will tell you it can be expensive which has led me to building a home studio.
Most of what you will hear has been done at home with
myself playing all the instruments on a lot of my songs. I have recently
started to collaborate with some very talented songwriters and musicians.
Influences
I am old school and have been around for many years. Just some of the bands
who influenced me along the way. Beatles, The Who, Rolling Stones,U2, Cars, Boston, Journey, Queen
just to name a few. Back in the day their were so many talented bands.
Too many to mention all of them. I currently listen to people posting their talent on
the internet. I hear so much talent these days and it is hard to pick one out.
