So, I'm pretty sure that Kris Kolb is now the most unique rock and roll journalist who ever lived. That was her nick name, in fact: "Rock & Roll Kristin". In addition to collaborating on an original album with me, posthumously, in the Rocky Mountains of Washington -- talk about "gonzo" -- Kris had a style of writing that is rarely seen, anymore. We called it "truther" journalism, not so very long ago. Although she wrote mostly for magazines and organizations long since adopted by liberal, partisan politics, she was quick to point out the flaws in both so-called "liberal" and "conservative" subcultures. That is to say her style reflected her conscience, first and foremost, as opposed to ... who she voted for ... or didn't. So, we naturally saw eye to eye, on many topics of discussion. Most, in fact. She painted a starkly clear portrait of a world drifting toward a darkly surreal state of reality, with her poetry and prose. Liked to sing Stevie Nicks, at karaoke. 

So, Cicadidi is actually a sort of subculture of its own, in that it belongs to another original project called Flowers For Kristin. For the moment, it's basically still the lab, but I plan to add some sparkly, new music, shortly after finishing the current track -- an original gospel flavored piece, with acoustic slide guitar; the very last song she ever heard me sing. That official preview track, by the way, is running about a minute or so in, when the surf guitar starts. There is a vocal intro which precedes it.
