I'm sitting in the middle 
of the deepest woods
enjoying all that God 
has granted us
and it's so damned good, 
so damned good.......

I've got little Chipmunks 
running in between my feet, 
it's like a meet and greet. 

And tiny Chickadees
eating the food i hand out for free
Nature's come right up to me.

My tent is my shelter
from the storms and rain
so cozy at night
beneath the moon and starlight.

And I spend my nights 
looking into fires 
and contemplating
all the wonders God 
has given us
way back when 
he was creating
this beautiful world
into which i was hurled. 
long ago........

Sometimes i wonder why
i was so lucky
to be born as a human being
and not a silly squirrel
who chases nuts all day
in a capricious way.

I'm sitting in the middle 
of the deepest woods
and gazing at everything 
that God gave us
it's so damned good
it's so damned good.
