On that  sacred flight

when my death transpires

let the sky above
become a funeral pyre,
set with oranges,

crimson reds and golden gleams,
as my soul ascends much higher

Beyond earth now emptied

of my life so full,
as my essence exits

from my flesh grown cool,
into that deepest inkwell

till I emerge again

and my spirit lifts a pen...
