I’m coming back again 
To spend some time with 
my dearest friend, 
For so long it’s only 
been my guitar 
But that all has 
reached its end. 

I’ve been on the road 
selling folks my songs 
Since God knows when, 
And I hope she’s 
glad to see me, 
cause she’s never 
wanted me to be me, 
She’s a homebody 
who was never keen 
on loving traveling men……

I’m packing all my dreams away,

I’m done with crowds 
that just surround me, 
Raising cell phones 
and bic lighters

Though I appreciate the greatness 
That my music brought to me, 
I’ve been strung out 
across too many frets. 
I’ve had a lesson taught to me….. 
Just singing songs 
‘bout what I’m dreaming 
Only brings me public screaming 
I need whispered sighs 
and hungry eyes 
Her Solo love 
that’s hot for me …..
