Wake Me Up !.....


Wake me up when it’s over
It’s been a long road trip
I need to sleep a bit…..

I was up all night 
Working on my latest hit
And when my nap is done
I’ll get back to it……

Let’s cuddle up
in the backseat baby
and dream about the joys ahead,
Sharing my concert tour 
with my favorite lady, 
forsaking lonely hotel beds….

I don’t know why 
I didn’t think of this
A long time ago 
Having you there for me 
at the end of the show.

So wake me up when it’s over
It’s been a long road trip
But you have made it a hit….

I was up all night writing
And watching you sleep
Tonight it’s time for romance
And it’s a promise I’ll keep

For now let’s cuddle up
