About Me
Forming in Phoenix, AZ, Property Six came together and forged a path through Arizona’s scene that, later on, other local acts would emulate. With the release of their first album "For Sale," Property Six began to create a huge name for themselves by locally playing with national hip-hop and rock acts such as Curtis Blow, 2LiveCrew, Digital Underground, Hot Action Cop, KRS ONE, and many more. Property Six then began a 42-city tour with Arizona’s own Phunk Junkeez and gained further recognition nationwide for their unique performance and sound.

Property Six has since opened up for many more national rock and rap artists; old-school and new. These artists include Ice Cube, Vanilla Ice, Kottonmouth Kings, E-Sham, Big Syke of Tupac’s O.U.T.L.A.W. Immortalz, Kingspade, D.G.A.F., Mower, (hed)p.e., Dirtball, Big B, Sponge, Potluck, Bizarre of D12, MC Chris, Axe Murder Boys, ABK, Mars, Swollen Members, Tech N9ne, Coolio, Adema, Days of the New, Spice1, Lil' Flip, Afroman, Muck Sticky, Skatterman, Fuel, Rappin' 4 Tay, Pigeon John, Juicy J of the Three Six Mafia, Lil Wyte and Bullet Boys. Property Six was also privileged to play the main stage at the 10th Annual Gathering of the Juggalos hosted by Psychopathic Records.

In the fall of 2011, Property Six embarked on another tour with Skatterman (formerly of Strange Music) and Krayzie Bone of Bone Thugs ‘N’ Harmony. Dubbed the “Back in Session” Tour, Property Six hit the nation once again to spread Rap & Roll across the country. New tours are being planned now for 2014 as well. 2014 also marks the year that Property Six will be releasing their 3rd full-length album entitled “Mind Control.” This album is a little bit of a new direction for Property Six as they are now marketing the Rap N Roll Movement and bringing a resurgence of energy into the crossover genre; fusing different elements of hip hop and rock to create a fresh new approach to the sound. Property Six has released two limited edition singles from this album. One is the title track, Mind Control, and the other song, entitled Let’s Get Loco, features a verse by Sen Dog of Cypress Hill.

In 2012, Property Six was awarded the New Times Best of Phoenix 2012 Reader’s Choice Award for Best Local Band in Arizona.

Sadly, tragedy befell Property Six in April 2013, when their drummer, Josh Irino, was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. This put a serious halt to any furthering of their career at the time, so for the entire year they mainly focused on finishing their third album. Josh underwent chemotherapy to combat his cancer and his tumor eventually shrank down enough to where they would be able to remove his lung and eliminate the cancer from his body. Unfortunately, the tumor came back and now Josh has to undergo radiation treatments on top of the chemotherapy. Property Six continues to truck on despite this. Josh has been an incredible fighter and remains optimistic about beating his disease. For now Josh is more of a manager for Property Six but still drums occasionally when his health permits. Property Six now has a trained backup drummer who takes over for Josh when his health does not allow him to perform.

Property Six means this: Six individual minds that each come from different musical backgrounds are capable of writing intense and intelligent music while outperforming their musical peers. If one thing has stayed with Property Six in its existence it was to continue making entertaining and unique music, while performing an intense show that forces its audience to clamor for more. With fresh ideas and a determination that is uncommon amongst unsigned artists, Property Six continues to stretch to the skies in order to succeed...

What is your primary genre/style of music?
We call our music Rap N Roll. It's not your typical rap/rock crossover music. We are NOT nu-metal so do not confuse us with Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, or KoRn...we have a much fresher approach.

R.I.P., SCOTT TUCHBAND (1952 - 2024)

In 1976, I, Elliott Michaels, sang and played organ in a Brooklyn band known as FIREFLY. After months of speculation, it has become apparent to me that Firefly founder and my friend and musical collaborator SCOTT TUCHBAND has finally died, succumbing to a number of illnesses. Mr. Tuchband co-wrote most of the original songs we played in Firefly, in collaboration with his friend and neighbor Joseph Bolnick. Scott went on to play in a number of other bands and musical groups such as Kashmir,…See More
