About Me
Mark Pain Wilson As a teen growing up in the early 80′s being a mc was the only way a young teen could express himself and escape the troubles that lurked in his mind 24/7. Mark Wilson AKA Markpain would find that way to escape by making beats on a lunch table or with his Dr. Rhythm drum machine while thinking of rhymes that would compete with the other rappers who wanted to be Run DMC or LL Cool J. Growing up in New York would only be one advantage that Mark would have over the rest of the world because he was at the source of music and where it came from. At the age of 17 Mark began his musical journey by meeting another famous artist Black Rob (Whoa) who would travel all around all day with him and freestyle. ” I knew Rob was going to be famous everyone that heard him rap knew it”. As the years went by Mark became more interested in the music business and started taking his production more seriously meeting other individuals that would lead him to other known artist. Rob Base, ABC, Boyz II Men, and Michael Bivins of New Edition. Mark landed a production deal with Motown/Biv-10 as a music producer and became a ghost writer for some of the acts on Biv-10 even Michael Bivins himself. In early 1992 Mark was privileged to be in a music video with Boyz II Men, ABC, and Mc Brainz called 1-4-all-4-1 Eastcoast Family Volume 1. That same year a close friend of his gave him an offer he couldn't refuse by asking him to co produce a song for Warner Brothers entitled Songs of My People. With artist that included Gerald Lavert, Teddy Pendergrass, Cheryl Pepsi Riley, Lisa Fisher, Men At Large, and all of Warner Brother independent known artist. The song was a cover tune for a known photographer Gordan Parks Director Of The1971 Movie Shaft. In 1996 Mark was also invited to tour with New Editions Reunion Tour. Still producing and giving back to unknown and unsigned acts Mark is now running his own successful radio station Real Hot Radio realhotradio.com Mark Wilson Album Credits Above Tha Rim – BBD Lovely – BBD East Coast Family – Motown/Biv-10 Throw ya Palms – ABC The B is Dumb – MC Brainz Dance Wit Me – Biv-10 Pewees Songs of My People – Warner Brothers

R.I.P., SCOTT TUCHBAND (1952 - 2024)

In 1976, I, Elliott Michaels, sang and played organ in a Brooklyn band known as FIREFLY. After months of speculation, it has become apparent to me that Firefly founder and my friend and musical collaborator SCOTT TUCHBAND has finally died, succumbing to a number of illnesses. Mr. Tuchband co-wrote most of the original songs we played in Firefly, in collaboration with his friend and neighbor Joseph Bolnick. Scott went on to play in a number of other bands and musical groups such as Kashmir,…See More
