About Me
KHARI The Duo is a Rap/Soul duo that is pushing the limits and paving a new path in the hip-hop music and production culture. The immensely talented duo consists of the insightfully clever lyricist (Ishma Valenti), and the innovative musical prowess of (Zach Watkins). Conventional rules set all the way aside, KHARI The Duo creates art that is far from the 3 verses and a hook model of rap songs. Instead KHARI The Duo creates music that is without bounds and not controlled by a predetermined model. The sound is cinematic and musically involved with compositions classically influenced by blues, soul, and jazz music. KHARI The Duo captures a timeless period of the American Black music culture with themes of the civil rights movement and the black power revolution in America. The debut EP KHARI Vol, 1. Had an independent release date of June 24th. KHARI The Duo is now preparing for an independent nationwide promotional and performance tour.
