Loneliness is a state of being
empty of all that matters
it comes when you’re old 
and it’s no fun when your young 
and it runs with your tears that splatter.

Whether homely or handsome
loneliness holds a ransom
to pay when your heart is shattered,
Eating holes in your soul 
it leaves you no place to go 
when your emotions 
and dreams have been battered.

Even the most beautiful 
all over the world
suffer loneliness just like you….
enduring heartbreak and sorrow
and they face a tomorrow
where their all going to grow old too,
grow old too... 

It’s a fact of our lives
even with husbands and wives
love can change to apathy it’s true
Loneliness is just a lesson
on how much love is a blessing
cherish it in everything you do. 

But you know loneliness too 
must always face an -end
that‘s found in the last 
three letters of fri-end
which can turn into a
boyfriend or girlfriend who spend
every minute with you
till loneliness is condemned.
to go off in a sputter
yet still turn and utter
that someday soon he’ll be back again.
