Sonneke Duvenhage was Born 18 March 1981 in Roodepoort South-Africa.  Professionally known as MystiQ the Mysterious, she grew up on a farm with her mom, dad and younger brother just outside of Bela- Bela. From a very young age already she loved music and remembers how  her mom used to sit with her by her organ. Playing on hearing only, she developed her own unique style and sense of music – Today she still plays on hearing and composes her own songs. Having been influenced by the likes of EMINEM, Bok Van Blerk, and Celine Dion, MystiQ the Mysterious has taken control of her fate with her passion for the arts, and music, launching her career finally as a musician in 2020. She also became youth leader and motivational speaker to traumatized and abused victims. She says “Music speaks to us at a spiritual level, therefore, using music, we can impact people’s lives. With her combined talent as a creative art and graphic designer, singer, songwriter and Prolific writer her artistry has been described as captivating, diverse, and astounding. Her Debut Single MystiQ Dis Ek was released in December of 2022, and it is much talked about between all of her fans. MystiQ is also known for other single releases like Dankie Pappa, Africa Unite, A mother’s Heavy heart, Best I can & Many souls one Derstiny. MystiQ has indeed grown into a passionate vocalist. She is always up for collaborating and working with other cultures, creating unique sound to captivate the ears of many listeners. Her songwriting  will capture, move, and inspire the souls of many.
MystiQ is a self-made all round artist who makes (RNB, hip-hop, country, Indie Pop, dance and singer songwriter to mention a few genre’s of her music),  from the Gauteng Province. Known, for her first original song, Many souls One Destiny. MystiQ Started out knowing very little about the industry, & with no job or income, was determined to make waves, so she could help others,  facing the same struggle, with a little push and motivation. She wanted to proof to many that having no money does not limit you to shine like a star.
Doing everything herself, including the final product with self-study, and exploration. This artist still amaze her fans with her capabilities. She has indeed grown into an amazing artist, and many look up to her. MystiQ Is always looking out for those less fortunate than her, and aids the youth in  their talent growth. She collaborates with them to be motivated stars of tomorrow.
MystiQ was scouted by Vanessa Morgan on Reverbnation in 2022 and brought over to POZE PRODUCTIONS where she has been futured on POZE RADIO and VAMO RADIO with airplay for multiple tracks, as well as ROKU TV with her music Video Best I can- for Fibromyalgia awareness, and Many souls One Destiny.  She  also feutured as VIP artist for A month through POZE PRODUCTIONS. MystiQ was awarded 1st prize for an annual poetry competition in February 2019 with her Poem Broken Past. It’s this extraordinary journey to where she finds herself now that is encapsulated in her music on digital platforms. MystiQ dis Ek, a record – and a state of mind, in many ways – that she has worked towards, starting out as poetry from the age of 8, slowly transformed in to songs (even getting the title MystiQ tattooed  on her back when she first thought of it four  years ago, knowing firmly that it would never change). "I realised my mom was right (She always told me I could do this) and slowly, my poems began to turn into raps and songs, and then I began to bring my story to life, with other talented souls I found" She says. MystiQ performed for her debut appearance in, Primrose Germiston in 2020 and 2021 with Country singer Tommy Dell and Tommy Gloss who also couched her. In November 2021 she was awarded Top 25 Entertainer and creative's award in Germiston, as multimedia creator and performing artist at Parties&Celebrations CO. “As musicians – we bring entertainment, healing, love and passion to a world that desperately needs it!”
MystiQ kept busy during 2022 when she was leading the NPC Untold Stories in Primrose, with Kholiwe Dlamini. An academy of arts where she was youth leader, using art as tool for change. MystiQ and the choir of untold stories, together with artist Lazarouz Mpala participated in an annual gospel competition in Primrose in April 2022 where they received 2nd price, for performing the song, blood of Jesus. The untold stories Charity music show case happend on the 2nd of June 2021, where MystiQ performed her debut single MystiQ dis ek, en Dankie Pappa as the face of untold stories. Across her formative singles and first long-form project, “Mysteries from A Broken past” (which was A compilation Album, featuring many different cultures and traditions), released September 15 2022. She has written Distant Love for young artist Amor&Vader RSA, Blacksheep that she performs with The Grim212, Sometimes I feel Alone with BLINE Music from Thembisa, Deep inside my chest she performs with Scotty Horwath from Minneapolis, Minnesota, I miss you Mom performed by Toxic worldSA and music produced by T-Girl Madrops, just some songs on this album, candour on young love, identity, girl power, and mental & Chronic health issues – topics which are taken to greater heights. Later on 18 September 2022, she was also invited to perform at the Primrose Worship Celebratation, where she recieved 3rd price, for her song Amazing Grace, that she wrote for the El-Shammah Ministries Primrose. In November 2022 she was nominated for POZE PRODUCTIONS Best Songwriter of the year award. 2023 Was another busy year for this female artist. She has put together an EP of Hip-Hop and dance, this time she collaborates with aspiring young rapper TOWWA from Mitchell's plain Capetown. Reality Chain is a collection of astouning beats produced by MystiQ The Mysterious and performed by Her and TOWWA. As jy wil spat, the first song on this EP is believed to be a Hit dropping. The pre sale promotion has everyone talking. MystiQ is also working on the music video for this track, and she says its definitely something not to miss. This EP is set to release on the 20th November 2023.
MystiQ The Mysterious is also Thrilled to announce her life partnership with musician Matthew Hibbins, other wise known as DJ Sky2012  she says that there is big things coming still for their music. "Watch this space! This is only the beginning! Matthew safed me in more ways than one, at first it was just music, but now its forever."
