Marquettia Gwennell Dixon (born October 10, 1988) born and raised in Muskegon, MI, to parents Colleen Dixon and Robert Dixon. Known for her stage name Lady Smiles, she is an American rapper and songwriter.
She grew up in a troubled home, with an abusive father who was on drugs and a struggling single mother who suffered from a heart condition. In 2004, at the age of 15, her mother passed away, and her older sister took on the role of the parent and provided for the family. Facing family issues and her mother death, she begins to drink and use drugs. Despite her family crisis and bad habits, Lady Smiles continued on and graduated from Muskegon High School in 2006 as an honor roll student.

On January 8, 2007, she lost her older sister to a heart condition. She was devastated by the sudden death. Following the incident, Lady Smiles struggled to support herself with no source of income. With the help of friends, in August 2007, she moved to Lansing to escape her environment and find a fresh start. Officially, the plan was to go to school for nursing. She took a break from school in 2009, and she became the guardian of her younger sister. Working as a supervisor at a hotel and caring for her younger sister, she knew the goals she set still needed to be fulfilled.

Lady Smiles difficult childhood and crisis begin to accumulate within, so she uses rapping as a cope method. In 2010, she enrolled back into school. She dedicated all her free time to pursuing a potential music career. She teamed up with Lakaz of The Chemist Music Group and started working on her first Mixtape; Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Boss which was released in July of 2012 hosted by Vh1 Love and Hip Hop Yandy Smith. In 2013, she teamed up with Studio 707 Production and started working on her second Mixtape; Money in the Forecast which was released in June of 2013 hosted by former DTP artist Shawnna. Through promotion and social networking word begin to spread attracting other artists interested in Lady Smiles abilities as a songwriter and creative lyricist. While working on the Mixtape, Lady Smiles was featured on various Mixtapes: She Got Next Vol 3, Benz Music 2.5, Best of the Mitten, Whats A Goon to a Goblin, Trappin to Tha Top Vol 3, Indie Vs Majors, High Society Hustling and Gift to the Streets.

Lady Smiles leading the streets with her creativity and unique style as an artist landed her key interviews with a variety of entertainment productions: Hip Hop Vibe, DPMG Radio Blog and Luminousvega TV

Money in the Forecast released in June 2013 is only the beginning of a new chapter, and Lady Smiles will continue to work and embrace her dedication she offers toward her music career,
