I'm an Italian singer-songwriter and my imaginary is deeply influenced by literature (Virginia Woolf, Sylvia Plath...) and painting (Dante Gabriel Rossetti and the Pre-rapahelites). The Name 'Augustine' is taken from Georges Didi-Huberman 'Invention of Hysteria', since I assumed the paradoxical condition of hysteria as a metaphor of the artist, especially when it is bonded to a complex feminine sensitivity. My songs often talk about hypochondria, sense of guilt, loss, absence, ecstasy and fall, nascent and dying love. The language I choose to use is close to the oneiric or to delirium, because I'm sure these forms of language can unlock a deeper sense of words.
