This is a true story all facts no friction. At the young age of 13yrs old I was charged as an adult for being an accomplice to the senseless fatal shooting of an angel Angelica Robinson. Only a child myself I couldn't recognize the severity of my actions and found myself on trail being railroaded by a corrupted judicial system that sentenced a 13yr old boy to spend 20yrs of his life in a adult prison. Through pure determination and grit i stood tall through it all and always stayed solid as a rock. Raised amongst the hyhienas and wolves I learned to be a lion and become a reputable factor in a environment where only the strongest survive. I started writing music and expressing myself through words and realized that the picture I was painting with words was beginning to gain momentum on the mainline and that momentum was helping me build self confidence as well as getting me through the hardships of prison life.
2013 I was released from prison and started recording song after doing hoping to be recognized as a success hip hop artist. I started gaining momentum locally in Seattle but on the national stage yet. I turned to selling drugs in order to get me to the next stage and on April 30th, 2015 while trying to bust a move i found myself in handcuffs in Montana getting arrested by the feds because of a string that a snitch set up to her his source of drugs arrested, such a dirty game. But there I was again staring down the barrel of a prison sentence. But God was looking over me and I came out of it with 60 months in the feds.
Now I'm back to put my foot in the door and give the world a Picasso, a classic picture they can feel and enjoy and know that failure proceeds success. This is a part of the story of Lavell Cotton...
