- About Me
- Deshawn Nelson, born Jonathan Deshawn Nelson on February 7, 1988 in Little Rock, Arkansas, is a singer, rapper, song writer, producer, recording engineer, dancer and actor. Deshawn is also an ordained minister at Ambassadors For Christ Deliverance Center. He is a loving husband and father of two. Deshawn started out singing in the choir and playin the drums in his fathers church as a young boy. As he grew older he fell in love with music and became a self taught ambitious artist. In 2011 he founded Zamar Shir which is known today as Zamar Shir Management Group. In 2012 he released his first album The Ultrasound with the group ZamarShir The Remnant. In 2013 he released his second album entitled "The Change Album" in which he colaborated with an artist named Carlos "Young David" Spellman. After two years of trials and errors, set backs and mishaps, struggles and hardship, Deshawn decided that loosing was not an option. On the verge of giving up Deshawn sought after God for direction and put his past behind him. Starting over wasnt easy for him but he felt it was worth it. His love for his family and the people of God is his drive. With his mind made up and his heart sold out for Christ he has begun a new project entitled Change Vol 2: "The Atonement" in which he talks about his love for Christ, redemption and the reconciliation of mankind unto God through the sacrifice of his son Jesus Christ. Dispising not small beginnings, Deshawn is determined to inspire the world and encourage God's people to be reconciled unto him through the elements of music and preaching the word of God.
