've struggled with weight issues most of my life, with all the usual yoyo tieting, strange weight loss suplements, and weird diets that didn't work.

There have been both some victories, and some setbacks along the way. but, first, I'll start by telling you my accomplishments, sense of course no one likes hearing about the gloom and doom first before getting to the good part.

This New Year's Eve, I was Horrified at how horrible I looked in my New Year's Eve dress. I also took note of the slightly high blood pressure that was recorded at the doctor's office in the early part of December, plus the weight gain being recorded. According to them, I knew I had put on another 12 pounds in the last 9 months, and my blood pressure was 10 points higher than usual, at 125/82. Some will say that's normal, but for me, its a little high. I knew I wanted to change, so I made a promise to myself that at the beginning of this year, the transformation would begin.

I began this year with Slim In 6. During the 6 week program, I lost 8 pounds, 2 inches from my waist, and 4 inches from my hips. It may not sound like much, but you have to start somewhere, also taking into consideration that 6 weeks is a short, one and a half month period of time as apposed to many of the longer programs.

Yesterday, March 10th I began my 90 day journey with P90X3. I had always wanted to do P90X. I originally thought it was for people who were further advanced in fitness training than I was. After studying it further, I discovered I was mistaken. I decided I needed something more than what I was doing to get my body to where I really want it to be. P90X3 is challenging, but fun, and definitely different than anything I've ever tried before. But, I really enjoy it, and am ready to stay the 90 days, and who knows, maybe another go around or 2. After I have completed P90X3, and am completely satisfied with the results I have gotten, I want to move on to P90X2. I used to be deep into weight training when I was younger. After work every day, I would walk 2 miles across town to the gym to lift weights. Afterward, I would walk home. Everyone used to ask me what I did for cardio sense they never saw me using any of the cardio equipment at the gym. "Walking to and from work every morning, afternoon, and home from the gum," would always be my answer. They always said, "Well, I guess you don't need any cardio with all that walking!" Just something about my past that sticks out at me for some reason.

Here's the part I really don't like. I don't like failure, and I don't like admitting I've ever been faced with a failure, or seemingly failing ordeal. But, everybody has setbacks, and sometimes, you have to deal with setbacks, fail, or be left with that feeling, and face obstacles to succeed.

So,last January I began a journey to better my overall health and fitness. Much to my disappointment, I failed miserably at the workout program I had chosen due to a badly sprained ankle I originally thought was broken until I made a visit to the doctor. He said, "No, its not broken, but it will take it at least 8 more weeks for it to heal due to the severity of the sprain." The program of choice was TurboFire. After trying to continue regardless of the doctor's diagnosis of my injury, I realized what I was doing was only making it worse. As much as I enjoyed the program, I was forced to stop. Shortly after stopping I was also diagnosed with pneumonia. It took until mid March of last year for the injury which occurred December 2012. After mid-March, I won't make any excuses, except say I got off track, and lost sight of the goals I set for myself. I got caught up with other things, and didn't pay attention to what was going on with my body.

This year, I have been so blown away with how much results I am getting from the workouts and products, I decided to become a Beachbody coach. Its my goal to help others with their health and fitness goals. I want to help someone else get to their true place of happiness. Your body is a large percentage of your overall happiness. People will judge you by your outward appearance, so when you look at yourself, you have to find fulfillment and one hundred percent happiness with what you see.
