I know it has been a while since we last wrote; however, life happens.  I wanted to share a small story of analogy that depicts arrogance and greed.  This story will be featured in my upcoming book.  Once you’re done we will be back to wrap things up:

Arrogance

We live in a world where the majority of society cares only about themselves.  Many times the spirit of arrogance takes root of the individual without the person being aware they have become a host to this conning spirit.  The individual refuses to admit their folly until it’s too late.  The spirit of arrogance gives the false persona that the person is righteous.  Wrong!  They are being anti-righteous.  Often this is an indication that the spirit of obscurity has partnered with arrogance.  The spirit of obscurity is a dark spirit.

-Consider this story-

Joe has just landed a job at one of the big car dealerships in his town.  Joe has worked hard for this opportunity.  He made up in his mind, in retrospect of the bad reputation car dealers have, he would always strive to be honest to the best of his ability.  During his training he was trained by the best in the business.  Once Joe completed his training and move onto the show-room floor, he was paired up with Mr. Chester.  Before showing Joe what area he would be in, Chester made it a point to bomb-rush Joe with his many accomplishments.

Chester explained how he has been the top car salesmen for three months running.  Joe was impressed.  However; Joe was not moved by Chester’s self-gratification. 

Chester told Joe to forget everything he had been taught in training. 

Chester told Joe that he was going to show him how to cut corners and still make the top dollar.  Joe just listened.

Two months have passed.  Joe has adapted well to his new job.  Chester’s sales have depleted since the hiring of Joe.  At the end of the month, Joe was recognized for having the top sales in his department.  Chester decided to say a few words to Joe on his accomplishments.

Chester:      So I see you are using the techniques I educated you on. 

                   You know those sales should have been mine.

Joe:             No disrespect Chester. What you showed me was fine for you, but

I chose to go another route.

Chester:      Oh!  You too good to use what I showed you!

Joe:             No Chester!  I just believe in no short cuts and giving the customer the best.

Chester:      What are you saying!  I don’t give the best?

Joe:             I didn’t say that.

Chester:      Well what are you saying?

Joe:             We are making a scene.  I have customers.  We will talk later.   

Chester:      Don’t walk away from me!  I educated you!

Joe:             No Mr. Chester!  The Lord educated me in righteousness!

Chester became annoyed by the way Joe handled him.  Chester decided

he would get even with Joe.  Chester fabricated the story that Joe stole his sales. 

Management did their investigation and discovered Chester had falsely accused

Joe.  Furthermore management also discovered Chester had fabricated his

Sale-Sheets in order to make more money.  Chester lost his job. 

This story illustrates how the spirit of arrogance can cause the down fall of a

person’s character.  What Chester fail to realize is his pass successes were

achieved by unrighteous techniques.  Although Chester schooled Joe on how to

make the bucks quick, Joe chose to stand for righteousness. 

God detest arrogance. 

Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and

the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Isaiah 13:11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their

iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low

the haughtiness of the terrible.

As we continue on this music journey do n0t allow your mode of success to captivate you to the point of forgetting the ones to help you get there. (I AM BEING TRANSPARET) Don’t allow the spirit of arrogance stop your BLESSINGS and Fellowship.  Like Chester, don’t get fired.
