Singer-songwriter Oolvia’s music is a blend of soulful dynamic R’n’B vocals and a funky yet contemporary sound, creating a unique engaging experience that the listeners instantly connect with.

BACKGROUND

Oolvia was born and raised in Azerbaijan, a small but unique country where West meets East, a home to a rich jazz scene where she performed regularly. Her musical influences are a blend of artists from variety of time periods, genres and geographies.  For years she has immersed in the world of wonders that the music of James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Amy Winehouse, Bruno Mars, and many other incredible artists had to offer. They taught her the most valuable currency of a performer – honesty of emotions – a quality that is embodied in all of her music.

Song-writing came out of nowhere. Initially unequipped with resources, Oolvia started recording vocal melodies just so that they don’t disappear from memory. Determined to give these songs lives, she started taking private vocal and music composing lessons, and that was the true starting point of her musical journey.

In 2015 Oolvia was a contestant on The Voice Azerbaijan where she progressed to Battle Rounds. In 2016 she moved to the US and initially settled in New York where she performed solo and as part of blues and soul projects in NYC live music scene, including iconic The Bitter End. She also continued to work as a songwriter for other up and coming artists and cooperated as a writer on Italian singer Fabio Mancini’s 2017 single Under Your Skin.

The move to Denver, Colorado in 2020 has marked a new phase in her music path. Oolvia joined The Tracers band where she remains the lead vocalist performing R’n’B and soul music regularly throughout Colorado, while also working on writing and releasing new music.
