Born and raised in Trinidad, I discovered my passion for music at 10 years old. The main genre of music in Trinidad is Soca, Calypso, Dancehall and Reggae. So thats what I was into. I wanted to be a reggae artist. I moved to Brooklyn NY in 1998 and lived mainly in East Flatbush and Crown Heights. When I heard hip hop music and learned what a rapper was, i was instantly addicted. Listening to and being influenced by the greats, such as Biggie, Tupac, Jay Z, Nas, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, 50 Cent etc. I always wanted to be a part of the music scene, but i never got the opportunity, because I had no personal or professional connections to the industry, so I had nobody to turn to for advice on how to go further. I wrote my very first song in 2002 about my Grandmother when she passed away unexpectedly. When my older brother was murdered in 2003, I was determined to NEVER GIVE UP on my dream, in honor of him, because he was pursuing his dream of becoming a DJ. In the following years I would record ideas for music I wanted to create by beatboxing instrumentals into my phone and writing lyrics for them. But with no connections and no money for studio time, I was stuck. In 2014 through a mutual friend (RIP Cliff) I met a rapper/producer named Da Playboy who let me record my first 2 tracks, for free. Kill Yoself, which is a story about a former female friend that falsely got me arrested, and Are You Hiring, that explains the discrimination I faced trying to find legit work as a black man in America. I also recorded a few collaborations with Da Playboy. In 2015, a friend of my cousin, named Luva Dolla, told me that he was putting together a performance showcase for unsigned artist, and offered me the opportunity to be a part of it, where i got my first taste of performing in front of a live crowd. Since then I have created multiple freestyle videos and a couple more solo tracks and put them on youtube, social media and all major music platforms. With my ambition and "Dont Quit" attitude, I believe I am on my way to Relevant Recognition. For me though, It's more about becoming Financially Free, and helping my family and friends with their financial struggles, than it is about becoming famous. But fame is inevitable when your skill is undeniable. So without the fame (fans) there is no success.
