Solja Cona Takin' Ova is a Musician, Sound producer and CEO of the Unknown Recordz. Born on the 16th of march, 1984, in the outskirts of Dippakunda, The Gambia, West Africa. As a youth, he was able to learn and complete his education from elementary to high school level. He started doing music at an early age when he was 4, by miming soundtracks of cartoons and disney movies such as Sound of Music, Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. At the age of 18 he joined the group X-Soljaz Clan, recording his first track at Bulldoff Recordz under the executive production of the late PMJ(R.I.P), his first recorded was called "We're Takin' OvA~!" by him the X-Soljaz Clan featuring Dj Graduate from the Fugitivz and Lyrical from P-Fam, it was recorded and released  in May 2002. It was a big hit for him and his group and was played almost everyday at various radio stations in The Gambia, e.g. WestCoast Radio 95.3fm, City Limits Radio 93.6fm etc.  

 From there his music career kicked off, because he was lyrically inspired and very talented in writing and composing songs, he was also an energetic performer, regarding live performances with his group at almost every event, show, inter-schools parties in Gambian clubs like Calabash, Teranga, Zanzibar, Wow night club etc. even at opening acts in The Gambian Independance Stadium...

  In Febuary 2005, he had the opportunity to traveled to England, UK, where he was able to study, Banking & Finance at City Banking College but later on switched his major to Music Technology at City College Manchester.

 Upon his return to The Gambia in September 2007, his group The X-Soljaz clan was already in a declining stage, but Cona was already in a stage of rage and full of courage, motivating him to maintain the pain and still fight for his dreams. Without PMJ(R.I.P), in the picture it was hard for him to continue what was started, but with his qualifications and experience in music, Cona decided to then go Solo, by starting his own record company called, Unknown Recordz. In 2008, he started working on his Solo-Debut Album called 'Dreamz Come True', in The Gambia which was later on released a few months after he arrived in the USA, in 2009, where he is now living and pursuiting his music career, in order to fulfill his dreams.

 Although, before that happened it has been a very long, rough and tough road, for the young musician, who started with the hope of making it through with his former group, "The X-Soljaz Clan" but with many disappointments, Cona became stronger than ever, as a Solo-Artist, writing and composing his own lyrics, songs and producing everything by himself.

He was able to reach his goals, with the help of his Father a Former KU Student/ A Current Gambian Journalist/Chief Editor/Proprietor/Owner of the "News & Report Weekly Magazine"/The Gambia Communication Agency and his Mother,  a retired nurse. Alfuseni Conateh alias Solja-Cona Takin' OvA~! was lucky to be their son, because he was highly inspired by his family to obtain and achieve his dreams, with the vision and ambition to fulfill his mission of life.
 

 But that could have all been gone by now, because, almost 4 years ago, on August, 10th, 2008, while he was back in his homeland The Gambia after finishing his studies in England, UK, it was a living nightmare, for S.C.T.O, due to the fact that his former group turned they backs on him after all the music technology knowledge/qualifications he came home with, so while he was working on his solo album, he was about to do the video for the first single " I Go By The Name Solja-Cona Takin' OvA~!" but  he ended up being attacked and stabbed 5 times by an unidentified soldier, the night before the video shoot, resulting to severe injuries on his back, legs and right hand.

 Luckily, he was rushed to the hospital iin time after bleeding thoroughly and waiting for four hours for the ambulance to come take him to the hospital. He was able to stand up and walk again, after being  treated, admitted, then later on discharged in 2 weeks following the incident, which was a miracle from God, showing him that he will be able to go through anything and fulfill what he was destined to be, no matter what and no one can stop him, because the goodness and kindness in his heart, is bigger than the evil men do.

 That is how he ended up coming to America the following year on his 25th birthday March, 16, 2009 and later on released the "Dreams Come True" Album, on July Fourth 2009. Ever since then from there, he never stopped recording, working, composing and mastering his craft...

 Now, in 2012,  Solja-Cona Takin' OvA~! is fully prepared and inspired, believing in God's peace,love, unity and destiny and disbelieving the devil's treachery, hatred, jealousy and envy.
 

 He adapted the name Solja-Cona Takin' Ova in 2004, from The Gambia where he was really hustling, to working through the hardship, teaching the people of his neighborhood and homeland that life is what you make it, and that, being a soldier, is not only by wearing a uniform, or holding a gun, and that life is a battlefield with daily struggles of survival, making us all soldiers at war trying to survive, although, we are not seen or known for are efforts, this makes us all to be Unknown Soljaz/X-Soljaz, and we can only make it, if we believe inorder to achieve and give inorder to receive.
 Therefore, Solja-Cona is the one and only musician, I currently know, who is living the dream and reality of the truth. One day or the other being sooner or later, this will be revealed worldwide.

 In the mean time, like I said before his Solo-Debut Album, "Dreamz Come True" and collaboration album with Mahu-J one of The On The Ground Team members, "Righteouz Actionz" are out on onlines stores,  like on itunes, napster, rhapsody, emusic, amazon etc so feel free to get it, in order to be part of his history, and fulfill your dreams together as one.
