Thornhill Road is a unique Bluegrass band, with big dreams to make a difference in the world and in Bluegrass music. The band started off with Caroline and Brian Law writing songs together in their home in Stuarts Draft, Va; now Jordan Lambert, David Law, Jimmy Almarode, and Brandon Burkholder have joined them to form Thornhill Road.
Caroline has been singing since she was a little girl, and has been writing songs for about twelve years. As well as being an accomplished lyricist and singer, she also has her degree in Management and Organizational Development.
Brian has been playing bass guitar since he was twelve. He has been writing and singing with his wife Caroline for 10 years. His main influences are Jaco Pastorius and Stanley Clarke.
Jordan plays rhythm guitar and sings tenor in Thornhill Road. Although Jordan has been playing music for 16 years, he is a relative newcomer to Bluegrass music. His knowledge and skill add variety to the already unique sound of the band.
Dave has been in and around Bluegrass music for the better part of 30 years. His guitar style and singing/songwriting abilities are a grounding force for the group.
Jimmy has been one of the most notable mandolin pickers in the state of Virginia for 25 years. His clean picking style and vocals add depth to the music.
Brandon Burkholder plays banjo. He started playing banjo at age 10. His main influences are Alan Munde, Tony Trishcka, And Earl Scruggs, as well as many others.
Together, they push the envelope of Bluegrass music, and have fun doing it. Bluegrass fans, as well as, music fans in general will enjoy Thornhill Road’s brand of homegrown sound. “Don’t take my word for it, listen for yourself.” - Brian
