About Me
Recognized as one of the Midwest’s true underground rap icons, Dangerous D has established himself as a force within the realm of the street music underworld. No holds barred lyrical content fused with top industry quality music production; Dangerous D has methodically acquired the attention and respect of hardcore rap fans and artists alike. Originally from Michigan, Dangerous D has established a solid underground fan base in the Midwest region of the country. Dangerous D’s work has been quoted by Review Magazine as “An Urban Masterpiece” and as “Stretching the Borders of Rap – Chilling the Myth of the Stereotype”. In early 2002, Dangerous D left the North and headed south to set roots in sunny Jacksonville, Florida. Since then D has put his knowledge and experience to work in the form of networking, promoting and marketing his name and music to the masses down in the dirty south.
Dangerous D just released his latest and most promising self produced album project to date entitled “Hater Kryptonite." Upon release, the new Dangerous D album will be supported through multi-regional touring and continued high intensity promotion, networking, and marketing.
Since 1995, Dangerous D has been a consummate player in the rap game releasing his debut album “Method 2 My Madness”. The first single from the album entitled “BOOM” resonated throughout the radio station airwaves, trunks, and stereos across the Midwest region of the United States. Faced with substantial regional radio support, Dangerous D organized a promotional street team backed by a solid sales and marketing strategy. For the remainder of 1995, D and his team began pounding the region at the grass roots level invading events, festivals, tournaments, and prep football and basketball games selling several thousand copies right out of the trunk of his car. 2 years later Dangerous D released his highly anticipated sophomore effort “Indestructible” with once again substantial radio support. Following the same formula as with the previous release, D sold several thousand copies in Midwest Region of the United States. In 2001 Dangerous D was invited to perform a track on the Nationally distributed, UBEU produced “Well Connected Compilation Album” featuring area heavyweight artists M.C. Breed, The Dayton Family, and Top Authority.
Dangerous D has performed on the same stage with many National recording artists such as Craig Mack, Mack 10, Kid Frost, Junior Mafia, 5th Ward Boys, The Dayton Family and Top Authority. Dangerous D is also a 5-time winner of the Review Magazines Mid Michigan Music Award for best Rap Artist. The legendary Ice “T” selected the title track “Indestructible” from D’s sophomore album as being one of his top ten picks in a featured article on MP3.com.
Through hard work and persistence, D has overcome many obstacles along the path to the many regional successes that have helped him establish a solid fan base in the Midwest Region; he has also been applying those same proven techniques to create a buzz in the Dirty South and beyond. The ultimate mission is to unleash this highly skilled, Microphone Master to a Global audience. There is no doubt that the sky is the limit for one of the games best keep secrets - Dangerous D!
