- About Me
- Bio: Karlos Adrian Hill (born March 14,1987) in Stockton, California) better known as Mac Sauce.
His love for music began at the age of 8 while attending church with his mother at Victory Temple Church where he attempted to play the drums unsuccessfully. Without formal instruction, by the time he reached the age of 11, he was hired at his mothers church to play the drums on a weekly basis. His first paycheck was seventy five dollars. At the age of 16, Karlos entered the "Guitar Center Drum Off" and captured third place. By the time he was 19 he had taught himself how to play the keyboards and guitar.
Karlos musical production influences include artist such as Pharrell, Quincy Jones, Justice League and Lex Luger. His array of sounds were influenced by jazz, classical, R & B, Rock and worldly sounds such as reggae, samba, reggaton and merengue. The impression of the eighties sound are everywhere in his music. His arrangements are definitive as he lays percussion that supplies his own distinctive bounce.
In 2006, "a diamond in the ruff" Karlos composed his first beat and was hired immediatly as an Engineer at Tappatap Studios in Denver Colorado. His 2 year tenure consisted of producing tracks for the mix tape circuit and learning the formalities of the music industry. Determined to maintain his independence, Mac Sauce purchased his own studio equipment and began making tracks for local artist such as Wil Breed, G.R., Purp Reynolds and Bigg Oxx.
In August 2013 he up the anty and invested in a full fledge studio a.k.a, "Buck'Em Down Studios in memory of his cousin and mentor "Big Duna". Mr. Hill established A.O.P. Entertainment LLC along with Macsauce Publishing in July 2013. In December 2013 he signed his first artist to his label King Black, his mixtape will be released summer 2014.
When asked what motivates you to create music? he replied, "I have overwhelming drive to create music for those who are on a different wavelength as well as co-exist with the artist so that the music has it's own energy". He adapts to the artist style he works with by designing a composition that is reflective of the artist true nature.
