- About Me
- Madam Coco Singer/Songwriter/Producer Madam Coco born under the given name Coradine Denise Pharr was born and raised in Detroit to two loving parents and a family of nine siblings. She learned to sing at an early age. Music was fun in our house yes there was always someone singing, dancing or listening to music. She learned techniques from her older brothers who also sang coming up as children. Encouraged by her mom to follow her dream she would sing for hours in her basement singing wherever she could hear an echo. She would watch and admire her brothers who sang and played guitar. She enjoyed listening to influences like Billie Holiday, Nancy Wilson, Phyllis Hyman and Minnie Ripperton to name a few. She performed and sang in talent shows, weddings, concerts, clubs and studio’s working under the mentorship of Marcus Belgrave jazz (trumpeter) recorded in studios and had the opportunity to perform background vocals in concert for former lead singer of the Spinners the late Philippe Wynn. Madam Coco's melodic, sultry and sexy vocals adds a smooth soft and unique touch to her music. She uses her creativity and positive influences when writing her songs to inspire listeners of both old school and new as heard on her new CD there is a mixture of Jazz, RB, Soul and Inspirational. One of her greatest accomplishments was when she performed as lead singer of the singing group Coco & Brown Sugar under the Vest-pocket label entitled Midnight Lady & My Baby's Face in 1981. She say's creativity is one of God's greatest gift to mankind... I love writing what I feel and feeling what I write. It's all about delivering a message in song to people so that they can relate their circumstances through music. Music is a universal language it is healing, it has feelings and memory. My goal is to use my creativity effectively and forever learning. Ladies and Gentlemen meet Madam Coco.

I hope you enjoy listening to the songs recorded on my CD released Oct 9, 2015. It has been a wonderful and blessed year for me because it is an accomplishment I have worked on for a long time.
