- About Me
- Nació en la Península de Cantera, de Santurce, Puerto Rico.Comenzó en el género de la música tropical con la Orquesta Nativa ( Mi Combo) de Miguel Manso, la cual se convirtió posteriormente en la Orquesta La Grande de José Canales.
Luego pasó a ocupar un lugar privilegiado, al formar parte de la Orquesta de Osvaldo Valentín. Esta experiencia encaminó el desarrollo de su carrera como cantante profesional, al compartir tarima con el Rey del Bajo Bobby Valentín, Marvin Santiago (qepd), Rafú Wagner, Cano Estremera, Willie Rosario, Tony Vega, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Roberto Roena, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico y La Sonora Ponceña, entre otros exponentes de la música tropical.
Grabó con la Orquesta de Osvaldo Valentín los temas: La Amistad, Aunque Critiquen, Dolor de Arrabal y No quiero Llanto, entre otros. Fue seleccionado para grabar como corista junto a Nino Segarra y Mario Cora (qepd), en una producción musical de su amigo Marvin Santiago. También participó como corista en otra producción del gran cantautor puertorriqueño Peter Velázquez.
En los últimos años, se destacó como el vocalista principal de la Orquesta Cábala de Mickey Cora, donde alcanzó gran reconocimiento profesional.
Grabó con esta reconocida Orquesta, los temas : Que Falta de Ternura, Como Están las Cosas, Manto de Cristal y Qué está Pasando con Nuestro Amor, entre otros.
José Peñalver, ahora como solista nos presenta sus 2 producciones discográficas, la primera , que incluye los temas: ME OLVIDÉ DE VIVIR y PASO A PASITO y ahora como un regalo a sus hermanos de Puerto Rico y latinoamericanos, les presenta su nueva produccion : "EL REY DEL BOLERO: Jose Peñalver en Vivo" . Esta es la primera de una serie de producciones de Boleros, que Jose Peñalver, va a compartir con los Amantes de La Musica Romantica.: "EL REY DEL BOLERO"
"PASO A PASITO" y "ME OLVIDE DE VIVIR" son parte de los temas de Salsa que pueden adquirir en todas las tiendas por Internet, tales como CD Baby, iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, Spotify o en otras distribuidoras musicales vía Internet
Se le reconoce por los siguientes seudónimos : La Voz Alpinista de La Salsa, El Rey del Bolero,entre otros.
