- Javius “Jay Shellz” Hardy is 23 year old native from Connecticut he considered one of the hottest rising Hip Hop artist in the area. His musical influence ranges from Gospel to Hip Hop. He stated that he needs a new and positive outlet in his life, so he began to write rap lyrics.
He started putting his skills to the test by getting into neighbor street rap battles. His friends gave him the name "Jay Shellz" because he was overcoming everyone that stepped up to microphone to challenge him. During the same time he put out several singles including “Jay Shellz Back”, “Stay Scheming”, and “Motivation”. These songs received such positive feedback within his neighborhood that he decided to put together his first mixtape called “Contamination”. It was completed mid-summer of 2012. Within that year he caught the attention of Juan Thompson of Jei-Records Management. He instantly signed him to his management company. Juan was quoted as saying that “he is one of the hottest new and upcoming artist due to the fact that his lyrics are creative and at times remind him of Tupac.”
Under the management team of Diacia Brown/Tyrell Spruill, Javius released two new singles, “All On Dat Pole” and “You Don’t Deserve Me”. The single "All on Dat Pole" is currently being played in clubs throughout the city of New Haven areas. Javius completed his 2nd mixtape called “Ahead of the Game” it was released on July 27th 2013. The album currently available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Zune and MOG just to name a few. The album is currently being played on Jango internet music station. Another single titled “It’s Only Instagram” was posted on DJ Smallz website. We are proud to announce that Javius has recently caught the attention of Arinbe Records out of the City of Toronto, as well as having 103.7 HNSRadio internet radio approving the album “Ahead of the Game” for rotation on their station.
