About Me
Daryl is a vocalist, guitarist, writer, and producer who is well versed in Urban/Neo-Soul/World/Pop/Blues/Reggae/Jazz, and African and Asian rhythms. Like his love of exploration, Daryl’s music employs different feels and textures adapted from his touring and recording in America, Asia, Australia, and Europe. Daryl has cultivated a wide range of loyal fans, whom – no matter if he’s performing R&B/Soul; free-styling on a House/Trance DJ/Vocal show; playing gritty blues guitar; or vibing on some Reggae grooves – always make it a point to show their love and support for his music.
A former RCA/Bahia Recording artist, Daryl was nominated for two Independent Music Awards in 2013, as well as charting numerous songs in different genres – ‘Honey’, which spent 14 weeks on The New York Top 30 Reggae Charts and was voted into the Top 100 Reggae songs of 2010; ‘And Over and Over’, 'It's a Physical Thing and 'Love When You Need It" all spending at least 8 weeks on the European Danceteria Phat 50 Charts; and ‘Can’t Wait’, a collab with Budapest DJ/Producer Hennings Project and SoWhat Records (Tel Aviv) Avi Elman - which spent months in the Top 30 Beatport Charts.
Daryl just returned from a six month residency in Hangzhou, China and is currently in the recording studio writing and producing upcoming Neo-Soul, Soulful House, Reggae, and Club releases.
