Cara-Mel, whose real name is Dana Lawrence is a female artist representing the Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan area known best as the DMV.  Her style can be best described as a blend of Hip Hop, Down South, and Dance meets Trap.  Mel likes to sum it up as Conscious Trill.

The street promo song, “Broke” placed her on the map when it caught the attention of DJ SIDEREAL from Minnesota and landed a spot on the “Stamp of Approval” mixtape song bangers of the year in 2015. This song was written and recorded to reflect the frustrations of living check to check; which everyone can relate to at some point of their lives.  Following her return to the music scene, she released “Back To The Grind;” a sneak peek of what was to come from the highly anticipated debut mixtape “Racial Profile.”

With dreams to utilize her gifts to demonstrate a positive perspective within the music industry, Cara-Mel is striving to incorporate her talent through networking and bringing change. As she states best, "Let your music speak for itself!" She is currently making her mark as she electrifies a new hip hop movement.

My name is Vjeran (which in Croatian means faithfull) aka Dobie, I was born in Zagreb, Croatia, and momentarily I am living on the relation Croatia – Ireland due to business purposes, working in IT/marketing industry. I am coming from a family of musicians, the majority of my family members are playing some instruments so that significantly influenced my growing up. Therefore, I am playing a piano (keyboards) since my childhood and that has always been my way of relaxation as well as the escape from reality. 

My sound in 5 words: melodic, powerful, emotional, simple and sound rich. In my musical expression for me is very important melody that should carry the emotion, as well as a selection of sounds to support the emotion. I grew up listening to electronic music so I have big list, Jean Michael Jarre, Kraftwerk, Robert Miles, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, Ultravox, Trevor Horn, Paul Oakenfold, Paul van Dyk, Tiesto, DeadMau5, Kirill … but also good old fuga “trancer” Johann Sebastian Bach, minimalists like Philip Glass … Also, I am award winning composer and producer - Unsigned Only 2017 WINNER in EDM category (Nashville, USA).

In 2017 my songs were number on on Spinnin Records (Trance category) and ReverbNation Global Charts (EDM category). Why Dobie? I am dobermann (dobie) lover and proud dobermann owner.
