- About Me
- Born James E Carter, in Kansas City Missouri, I began rapping and battling in the 5th grade. It became more serious for me by the sixth grade when I seen how all the cars were riding listening to it.
I started actual recording by the age of 16, I've had a few Street favorites by the age of 18, with songs like "Unexpected visitor" and "Off the hook" I was blessed to snag my first record deal at the age of 19, now signed to AKA WORLD WIDE, I moved to Orange County California and began recording my first solo project, "Troubled kid" which was and still is a Kansas City favorite.
Upon returning from California, I caught a little time and had to sit down for 18 months. Losing contact with manager Amentho Zien, Project manager, Larry Howard, reached out and found me, still trying to break into the music world. Moving back to cali once again, I was introduced to Dale Davis, from the Portland Trail Blazers, a meeting was set up for him and I to meet in hopes of reaching an agreement to sign to his label, W.A.R ENT. after meeting other label owners that were also in the NBA like Pooh Richardson.
Scotti Pippen came into the room waiting to hear me audition for Dale, and I began flowing, Pippen heard me Going and couldn't hold back, screams out, SIGN HIM RIGHT NOW, about an hour or less later, I was officially signed to W.A.R E.N.T. and let's just say, a few bands better off.
Upon returning back to KC again, I prepared for a trip to the ATL, to begin recording. Both feet still in the streets, but my whole heart in this music, about a month after getting settled in Atlanta, I got a phone call from my attorney tellin me that I had court the next day, Hopping a last min flight, I was home, needless to say, the Fed's raided my home, and I lost it all. Plus my freedom for 6 1/2 years.
2008 I hit the ground running, being introduced to the owner of MidrangeMusic Eric MidrangeMusic Surratt, where I've been lead to greatness, a huge fan base, and some of the hardest working team members and platinum producers such as Jayson Epademik LeeMasters, Jean-Luc Kds Monroe, and Kojack Charles, producer's who have produced hits for Rick Ross, Juvenile, French Montana, Joel Ortiz of (Shadyville) . The list goes on and on. And now to have my entire EP to be produced by Jayson Epademik LeeMasters, is truly an honor.
Lead by Eric MidrangeMusic Surratt, and L Booggey Capitane, CEO'S of the MidrangeMusic group. The world is truly in for a treat.
