Bio:
Nubian King & Queen Productions/Promotions are a Rastafarian husband and wife team by the name of Eric & Marva Baksh--Ras High /Fire Queenie.
Both Nubian King & Queen obtained their love for and experience as DJ's while Nubian King lived in Trinidad and in the Northern Florida,playing in clubs as Ambassador, Surf Cafe.Hungry Sailor.
Nubian Queen started playing against her neighbor in Harbour View. Jamaica and also in Chicago,where her family migrated to in early '70's. Her love for radio & music continued when she relocated to South Florida in 1975. Many nights she assisted one of the icons of reggae radio,the late Clint ONeil-Penthouse Studios of WLRN 91.3 FM. The late Clint O'Neil "The Godfather of Reggae Radio in Florida was also mainly responsible for originating the backup group that Nubian Queen was a part of in the 80's/90's.
The live music career of Nubian King & Queen began in the early 1980's thru 2000's where Nubian King "Ras High' was known as "XHigh",founder of many Roots Reggae bands such as "Manifestations","XHigh and the Higher Vibes" and "XHigh and the Power band",which all strictly played Roots and Cultural Reggae music in the Broward and Palm Beach night clubs as The Edge;New World Cafe;The Hungry Sailors;Stephen Talkhouse and Surf Cafe.
The Band also backup artists the likes of Israel Vibration; Ken Boothe;Carlene Davis; Fredlocks. Hosted shows with Culture; Israel Vibrations.........
The group performed for 3yrs at the opening of the yearly Bob Marley Earthday celebration in Miami in the 90's........
Marva (Nubian Queen) had a short lived career with the backup group "The ReggaeMuffins" with Nicole & Gillian Reid now "Nubian Empresses" was created by the late Clint O in the 80's. Marva has served as lead background singer with her husband's different bands, now Iahdus and manages NKQ Prods./Proms........
In 2000 the couple brought the "Iscious Roots Reggae Party"to Eye Q Internet Radio and Live radio. In October 2000,early morning,the first show aired on WAVS 1170AM radio in South Florida USA........
The couple relocated to Ghana,West Africa in 2003 and was blessed to perform on Bob Marley's Ilebration in May 2004 at Alumikrom and Cape Coast Castle 2006 in Cape Coast,Ghana🇬🇭,West Africa...........
The couple is now in the USA and Jamaica once more working on some recordings before returning to the Continent. NKQ Prods/ Ras High and Nubian Empresses has been in the studio and completed their 3rd CD in 2013......
RasHigh is now officially in Jamaica, where he did a new release Herbs produced by Partello Prods out of Sweden.........The revised version done late 2019

Ras High along side Nubian Empress Marva continues to bring Roots Reggae music vibes every Thursday @ StepbyStep HQ Culture yaad with StepbyStep band in Bonitto Heights, Mandeville, Ja 🇯🇲..........
