- About Me
- 5 Generation musician in my family. I've been in music since I was 7 years old. My first presentation was a TV show in Puerto Rico (WAPA TV), the midday show. From there I attended a music school from 8th grade until 12 grade and graduated with 2 diplomas, one in General Education and the other one in Music-Clarinet.
I performed with many bands in Puerto Rico and landed a job performing with a TV Variety Show Band. I attended the Conservatory of Music (Pablo Casals), in Puerto Rico, won a scholarship to attend "Interlochen Music Camp" in Michigan and later received a scholarship to attend Illinois State University and graduated with a Bachelors in Music Education.
Joined the US Navy Music Program in 1973 and retired as an Enlisted Bandleader after 31 years of service. Now I have my own Salsa Band, and in 2017 got nominated for Latin Grammy on my CD, Padre Querido, Salsa/Fusion. I continue to perform, arrange, play and write music.
