About Me
A truly hidden gem when it comes to the Hip Hop Genre. K-TOXZ was born Eric Miller on October 27th, 1989. His parents divorced when he was just 1. Growing Up in a split household, he often was the pawn in a domestic chess game. His mother, Sherry was diagnosed with paranoia schizoprenia when he was just 5 years old. He grew up witnessing several behaviors and incidents quite different from most children. Subjected to domestic violence, drug & alcohol abuse, and lack of presence from his real father. He was often left to entertain himself in his environment. By the time he was 13, he had already used marijuana. Followed by alcohol in his later teens. K-TOXZ began rapping when he was 12 years old. Influenced initially by artists like Dr. Dre, Eminem, Limp Bizkit, and Snoop Dogg. Eric took to the genre for its keen way of using words. Speaking in metaphors and using references to get your point across intrigued the dysfunctional child. When he was 19 years old. He was severely injured in a near death auto collision. Entitled to a settlement, K-TOXZ recovered from 2 broken ribs, punctured/collapsed right lung, lacerations to his spleen and liver, back injuries, and a fractured pelvis. By 2009 K-TOXZ purchased his music equipment, and set out to begin his music journey. With the help of high school friend, Aaron Lane. He created his 1st real album. The Good Life. A 20 year old kid who thought he knew it all, hasn't seen nothing yet. He made his debut on the local music scene in Salt Lake. Eventually grabbing the attention of fellow local artist Big A. Who was gaining notoriety locally and nationally with his LTA (Lake Town Affiliates) music imprint. Big A had a gritty and grimey style, along with having credible features from the likes of Snoop Dogg, T.I., Don Cisco, Dante Thomas, and more. K-TOXZ was in good company. The 2 hit it off from the moment they met. K-TOXZ was LTA and went hard. Too hard. Their 1st ever song together was in the company of Levitti King, singer songwriter and relative to the legendary E40. Levitti sang the hook while A & TOXZ spit verses. The song showed Big A that K-TOXZ passion for Rapping. They would make several more songs together for Big A's 5th underground album " All About The Ching Ching " Having been apart of that K-TOXZ was able to experience opening up for Big name artists like The Game, Spice 1, Haystak, & Mastermind of NATAS. But eventually the rockstar lifestyle caught up with K-TOXZ. Receiving his 1st DUI, at 21. Along with experimenting with other drugs like ecstasy, cocaine, & acid. Big A let K-TOXZ go from tje up and rising label. K-TOXZ left music altogether. By 2013 he had bounced from numerous rap crews upon fallouts and differences. Ultimately discouraged, he met the mother of his child. They rushed into a dysfunctional relationship. It was very turbulent, dysfunctional, and a reckless the whole time. He was mirroring behaviors of his childhood. Ultimately losing his son's mother shortly after his son's birth. K-TOXZ went off the deep end. Using drigs and alcohol to cover up intense feelings of sadness, regret, sorrow, and love. He eventually tried to take his own life in January of 2016. Failing his attempt. He went through probation, jail time, and the loss of several friends and possessions. This was eating away at the now aging artist . Little did he know he was about to create his most solid and deepest work yet. Ultimately, deciding to hook up his studio equipment again. K-TOXZ started pouring his feelings into his music for the first time in his life. All of the failures all of the bad decisions all of the missed opportunities and most of all the loss of his family. The project would be titled Life After Jazzi Mae. A nickname his ex goes by. 16 songs rip open and expose, K-TOXZ. Willing to air out his grievances. Along with expressing his pain and feelings of hopelessness Suicidal Thoughts, bouts with alcohol, and drugs, & troubles with the law. His story is unique.

R.I.P., SCOTT TUCHBAND (1952 - 2024)

In 1976, I, Elliott Michaels, sang and played organ in a Brooklyn band known as FIREFLY. After months of speculation, it has become apparent to me that Firefly founder and my friend and musical collaborator SCOTT TUCHBAND has finally died, succumbing to a number of illnesses. Mr. Tuchband co-wrote most of the original songs we played in Firefly, in collaboration with his friend and neighbor Joseph Bolnick. Scott went on to play in a number of other bands and musical groups such as Kashmir,…See More
