- About Me
- Joe Shane has been making music for over 50 years. Like a lot of musicians growing up in the 1960s the Beatles were the catalyst for him picking up the guitar. After many years in bands ranging from pop to blues, country and jazz, Joe pursued a solo career performing at bars, clubs and colleges. Some of his most memorable gigs were at Pub on the Square in St George's Bermuda where he had an extended residency.
In the 1980s Joe became an event DJ mixing rock n roll in with the dance hits of the day while still writing and recording his music. After 30 plus years as one of the top event DJs in the NY TRI STATE area he left that behind and returned to his first love, writing and recording music. He has released 2 albums Standing At The Edge Of Who Knows Where in 2000 and most recently Bad Influence in 2020. He continues to write and record in his Valhalla NY studio.
A year ago I released my latest album Bad Influence. I'm pleased and surprised by the stats I received today from my distributor The Orchard. The most streamed songs are Ain't Coming Out of My Room and GetAway.
