About Me
Been playing blues since 1959, when my blues guitarist uncle gave me my first electric guitar...a Supro. I grew up in some cool places, but North Carolina introduced me to some serious blues players. Later on in life, in Clarksdale, MS, I met Ms Patty Ann Johnson, the town's only chiropractor. She also had recorded just about everyone that's anyone in the blues. She has Pinetop Perkins piano in her home. I guess what I'm saying, is that I didn't have a huge record collection of blues music...I just had a lot of friends, who played the blues, some, you folks never heard of but they are monsters on their instrument and very generous with their blues teaching. I'm an Army veteran & they trained me to be a ballistic meteorologist. For a civilian job, I was an ILLUSTRATOR/GRAPHIC DESIGNER, for about 40 years. I'm retired, but still take on some jobs. I'm a woodworker, & eat lots of sushi & BBQ. I surf and do alot of swimming. and I play the blues.
