Preston Lux is a born performer. Singing in church choirs from Tacoma, Washington to Pasadena. In Pasadena Preston enlisted into the John Muir Mustang Band (an official Tournament of Roses Band)
Preston returned to Pasadena and co-founded the Essence Of Time(song and dance group). His participation in the Pasadena Bi-centennial Celebration as a performing artist afforded him the opportunity to work with Sherry Scott and Don Whitehead of the original Earth Wind and Fire Group. Preston toured with Sir Jewell Akins (LET ME TELL YOU BOUT THE BIRDS AND THE BEES) for national travel campaign(song, dance and band director). Other musical campaigns included working with Ron Dacus Classic Soul(Ft. Lewis, Wa) and the unforgettable Otis Byrnes and Diamond Cut Band(Oakland, Ca)
Preston consistently gives recognition and thanks to those who have given him a helping hand along the way. Specifically, Mr. Bobby Sanders of SOULTOWN RECORDS - Hollywood, who was his first manager. To the Eddie Smith Band and Cornell Harrell guitarist, vocalist(and formerly of BARRY WHITE BAND), who kept The ESSENCE OF TIME singing group Eddie Coleman, Hurley Johnson, John Odom and Preston Lux on track.
In a word, Preston says he thanks GOD YHWH for his blessings of talent to move from a contestant in Talent Shows to the International Stage, production and Spoken Word.
Preston has toured the Continental United States, working 300 plus appearances in 3 years, finishing 3 albums and working on number 4. For all his experiences, Preston still remains a dedicated Dad and musician. Prestons' love of music translates directly to how he interacts with people, and this can be seen through his mentoring and staying connected with family, proteges', friends and fans.
