- Mark is a singer/songwriter out of Dayton, Ohio.
Americana roots, of heavy topics and storytelling, are the foundation of Mark’s music and strongly represented on “Last Chance Johnny” released in January, 2012 and "Diggin' On You" released on January 1st, 2015. Both albums contain 11 diverse tracks that capture the spirit, the struggle and the joys of everyday life.
Where small town roots were the driving force behind the inspiring lyrics and music found on his debut album, his sophomore effort takes on a more edgier Roots-Rock persona. "Diggin On You" is a carnival ride through tales and stories portrayed by characters coming to terms with life, love and the past while all along dealing with addictions, demons and disillusionment.
Mark has assembled a group of seasoned and talented musicians that he has branded “The Punch-Drunk Heroes”. Expect a high energy show with powerful vocals, thick harmonies and flawless guitar and harmonica leads when you attend a “Mark Cantwil and the Punch-Drunk Heroes” show!
