About Me
Jastin Artis began his journey in music as a fan of Hip-Hop. Although he recognizes his gift in writing since elementary school, especially with poetry, becoming an artist wasn’t on his radar. In addition, he was a band geek. Once in college, Jastin was able to spend a day at MTV in New York City where he knew entertainment was the industry for him, but from an editorial writing aspect. Soon after, Jastin had the interest to write songs. This experience intrigued him and he’s been actively committed to music ever since. Jastin is a self-taught guitarist, producer, and audio engineer.

Early in his career, he just wanted to write and produce songs; work with the artist to create their music. After a request for an album by an industry executive, Jastin went into artist mode to achieve his first album. The evolution of Jastin Artis as a solo artist has kept him grounded in faith and provided him a purpose. He’s even started a duo with female NC artist, His Image, as Artis Image.
The mission: to help elevate his listeners by providing a safe and comfortable place fans can rest their fears, scars, pain, and love iN. Jastin does everything with his faith as the core; to keep God close and the leader of his life. This is the JUSTAPUPPET mentality.

My genre is considered to be urban gospel. I call it hip-hop renaissance; a fusion of gospel, hip-hop, acoustic/electric guitar, & spoken-word. I am the bridge to where you want to be.
