Double J is an artist/rapper from Boiling Springs, SC. Double J is known for a sound that showcases versatility in flows over boombap beats of yesteryear and modern trap bangers of current soundscapes.. Double J has been rapping since releasing his debut mixtape out his dorm room in Stetson University, Dysfunctional Bars, on Soundcloud in 2012. Standout cut American Hunger State of Mind was featured on Coast 2 Coast next up Vol. 244. Since this time Double J has performed across many venues in Florida including Davincis and the Haven Lounge. From 2012-2013 Double and frequent collaborator Ivan Milli were rumored to be part of an upcoming rap collective curated from the mind of David Vaughan called CALAB. However, all material recorded including  the aformentions collaborative effort 5000db was shelved and the group split in early 2014 due to creative differences with Vaughan. At this time Double J continued to work with Vaughan and they did an anti bullying charity event in partnership with Maurice Star Entertainment in Sept. 2015 in his college town of DeLand FL. In 2016 the pair were working on a highly anticipated hiphop musical titled In Between Life which unfortunately ran out of funding during the production stage. At this time the creative pair parted ways leaving Double J to return alone to the garage in Boiling Springs where he began his music journey. In the past 2 years he has let loose stellar radio ready singles  such as 1st time high, as well as no holds barred thought provoking lyrical barrages such as Nothing Really Matters. These records and recent showcase performances across South Carolina have radio darlings across the state eager to hear more from the seemingly reborn mcee. Double J's rapid fire lyricism and pristine beat selection continues to keep old and new heads alike pressing play on his records. He currently performs across South Carolina for his fans and regularly posts performances and comedic content across his social media accounts  to a growing international fanbase. He loves hiphop culture and is greatful to still have a presence within it at 6 years into his career with no major release or label backing him.
