- About Me
- Born and raised in San Jose, Ca.started The gaslighters are an alternative, country, garage rock, blues, Americana acoustic duo from Northern California. Founding member,Theresa McClure, a seasoned veteran of the Bay Area Music Scene all throughout the 80's brings her very Original singing and songwriting to the foreground calling fourth fond memories of big hair and the whistling bullets. From the voice of an Angel soft and sweet, to Jagged sandpaper torch vocals, Her voice alone makes her a formidable entity, add that to her High lonesome blues songwriting style and guitarslinging skills, and what you have is a bona fide Triple Threat. Trifecta of stage and Studio performer with a body of work spanning three decades Theresa is as smooth as 100-year-old whiskey and rougher than a night in the county jail.
Bradley came up from the South San Jose skate scene. Garage Punk, grunge, dirty boy rocker, delinquent. He has always been attracted to the strange and underground alternative, scary ,forbidden socially unacceptable Behavior. A rebel with a cause, he's a rock and roll warrior with a snarky Snidely Whiplash pension for sneaking up on you with his hard-hitting Rhythm and Lead pounding out every cord,and lyric with the soul of a saint-making you forget you can't trust him. Brutal in his honest vision of songwriting and Performing that floors you leaving you flatlined and in awe.
Bradley and Theresa bounce off each other with rivalry in the sheer reverence they hold for one another and their Joy of mixing genres and confusing the heck out of a listeners, they leave you cross-eyed and Clueless.
Theresa and Bradley GasLighter United in their love for the old school and its Traditions as well as their pension for demolishing the very same Traditions they regularly salute and even Channel their Heroes and influences, all remaining as fresh and original as tomorrow's news. Their long-standing acxiom.. gas-lit lamf actually stems from what the aggregate of listeners report after having seen them live.
