I sure do know about stumbling, falling flat on my face. I had gotten caught with a gun after being blessed to stay out of jail for 13 years. The crazy part about it all is that at the time I had another label I had started; ‘Holy Hoodlum Entertainment”. I was also a house manager over a prominent recovery center. I was straight up living in pride and the Lord had to allow me to fall.

I admit it was very painful to go back to jail after 13 years. However it was the best thing for me. It truly humbled me and restored areas in my walk with Christ I was yet to turn over. I now have been out of ‘trouble’ 12+ years now.

The Lord has giving me even more then I lost. And given me a transparency to admit my wrongs. You see, unit we’re able to turn it over completely to him, the same issues will keep us bound. The very junk that we’re ashamed to share with others, God wants to use to reach others. Being full of pride and seeking to use it as a badge of honor, will eventually lead to our downfall. Thank God for Jesus Christ though, who uses our shame for His gain.

I keep saying this, if God can use me, He can use anybody. Shake the devil off you, when your discouraged about your past. Look toward the future, cherish the day, and build in the moment. Be encouraged!
