Ego is one of the main reasons why relationships are ruined in life. It’s not so much that we have an opinion about things, and our opinions may be right, but when the ego gets in the way, it drowns out all sound reasoning and growth.
“Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated? Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers and sisters.” 1 Corinthian 6:7-8
No body wants to be looked down upon for being wrong, a lie , a cheat and a thief etc. We will have knock down drag out arguments just to prove our point. I myself am chief because I have indulged in so much of that foolishness! So I’m definitely speaking from experience.
Through the regeneration of The Spirit of Christ working in my life though, (still a work in progress lol) , I realize the very opposite is servitude. When we’re in service or others, there is no room for ego. “Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. As it is written: "So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge." Romans 3:4
The brother Rick Rigsby has it correct in this video, service is the way to go about and be free and excel in this life. However if your looking toward ego to gain your agenda, there’s no room for winning, because ego always ends in defeat. Servitude is the way of winners.
