Perry Stevens is not your average songwriter. He is a well-rounded artist with a broad creative scope. He has a passion for authentic storytelling, and love to create music with a deeper meaning. He has been a singer for 30 years, and he’s now bringing it all back to the audience! At the end of the day, it was never about genre definitions and other limitations. It’s all about insightful lyrics and powerful songwriting ideas. His songs leave a mark on people and connect with them on a deeper level. Perry Stevens make songs that will make you cry, laugh, think, and wonder...sometimes all at once! He had a bustling career early on, but at the end of the day, he took a step back from the scene.
Based in West Covina, California, Perry has a life-long passion for music. Perry has an eclectic musical background and a vast vocal talent to match it. In fact, he was a professional singer from the early 70s up until the early 80s. He often sang at the Chalon Night Club. In those days, he had many opportunities, but he had other goals. Even when they offered him contracts, he decided to focus on his career in medicine and chemistry. He was also getting married, so his relationship was more important than doing months on the road!
To focus on his life, he rejected those offers, but this doesn’t mean that he had turned away from music. That part of him was always there, inspiring him and giving him a reason to be creative and artful. In November 2018, after five years working on his new music, Perry Stevens was finally ready for his latest big break. He released a project titled “Hot Lava,” which was an immediate sensation. The music was received positively, and Perry didn’t only reconnect with his old fans. He managed to make new ones too!
However, many of his former fans were eager from new material by Perry, so they actually encouraged him to focus on being a professional musician once again. He brought back the signature themes and aesthetic of folk-rock, but with so many other influences. In fact, Perry’s sound is hard to pin down because his music is so incredibly diverse and forward-thinking. One of the most distinctive perks of Perry’s music is indeed found in his fondness for stories. Most of his songs are very narrative-driven. Arguably, storytelling is one of the most essential elements of the artist’s approach to songwriting. Perry loves to share his feelings and express powerful ideas with the audience, and he often does so through the voice of the characters he depicts in his songs.
Perry sings about love, freedom, hopes, dreams, and heartbreak, sharing many amazing moments with his audience through his timeless songwriting. His brand new songs aren’t just about tracing the steps of folk and rock. His vast range of influences features new wave, ballads, and why not - even rap and R&BA!
In addition to that, the production on his recordings is absolutely excellent. His vocals always have some tasteful effects, such as reverb, echo, and saturation. Vintage records often inspire the sound of his instrumental track. However, it also has a modern edge to it, which enhances the clarity and appeal of the material. Whether you are a fan of old-school folk-rock or contemporary music, Perry’s records are going to be great for you! There is genuinely no constraint to the creativity and vision of this fantastic artist, and he is on a roll, consistently releasing amazing songs and building is growing fan-base. Perry Stevens currently records under Glass Curtain Records. His songs are featured on iTunes, Spotify, Deezer, Amazon Music, and Pandora, as well as other online stores Find out more about him, and do not miss out on his releases, activities, and events.
Since I was a child music has always played a huge part in my everyday life. As I got older I started to write my own raps at the age of 9. When I got into high school I was free styling a lot and battle rapping against other local rappers to build a buzz around town. It was then a long time friend recorded me freestyling and took it a record executive in Chicago that owned his own record label he was impressed by the word play and delivery but thought I needed more work. As I began to perfect my craft I started slowly building my own studio by scratch and by 17 I recorded my first full length track. As I finished high school my name around town for my song writing abilities had grown. As a project for my senior year english literature class we had to write a page long poem. When it was due my teacher at the time asked me to present it to the entire 25 student class room which was no problem to me. Later when the class ended my teacher asked me to stay over and told me out of all the ones he heard he thought mine was the best one and he wanted my permission to present it to a poem writers program he gotten involved with which I gladly accepted his offer. After I finished high school I started working more on my writing and by the age of 21 I had wrote over 1,000 songs mainly about my life and the life I see everyday. I eventually started recording with a variety of rappers and recorded an EP titled "Yung Crazy Presents: The Lyrical Assassins" with 8 songs on it "Intro" "It's 420", "I Do What I Do", "Decatur City Limits", "They Wanna Hate", "This Life Freestyle", "Something To Feel", "Here I Come". The EP was released independently as a free promotion to get the attention of more people. While my name was buzzing people around town would refer other people to me for production and teaching on flow and lyric writing abilities. When I was 23 I got involved in a rap group and record label called "Murda Sells Entertainment" where it was a group of 4 guys including myself rapped lyrical over real bass boosted and club type beats. It was short lived due to the different opinions of which direction we wanted the label to go that ended in me leaving the group. Which later resulted in the disband of the label all together by this time I had been working with some pretty well known names around town a few features on tracks along with production for their mixtapes/albums. I started gaining even more of a fan base for the work I was putting in. Which leads me to the present I started recording a full length album titled "Street Prophecy" back in December of 2017 the album has 11 songs on it with one feature all wrote and recorded myself.
People are still wondering who is this Hope McKee person is. Hmm, she is a single sassy person that decided to take my love of writing, singing blues, and turning it into a side career. Hoping that one day that will replace my day job. Like I stated in my previous blogs I had no clue of what I was doing just crazy and insane enough to take a chance to see what would happen. I’m actually listening to music as I am writing about myself. Talking about multi-tasking, I surely can do it. After attending several songwriting workshops, I started co-writing songs in the spring of 2014 at a small studio on Music Row. From there songs as, “I Need A Man,” “Seeing Things,” and “Auntie Blues were created. They all made the cut for my first album called, “This Is Me.” My wonderful producer thought it was a great idea to mix some cover songs along with a few original songs. I think it was a genius. It was fun and a lot of hard work was put into my first of many projects and hopefully more to come in the future. Some are wondering where my artist name came from. Simple it’s my part of my birth name. While sitting in the middle of bedroom brainstorming via text with my vocal coach with threw out potential names for my album. Most singers especially gospel and blues singer grow up singing in church choirs in a Baptist church. I was not one of them. Most of my friends and family do not know that I could carry a tune in a bucket much less hit a high note or two. Thus, the title of my album is called, “This Is Me.” I hope that you have enjoyed my journey so far and that you get a copy of “This Is Me.”
Lady Bain is an R&B sensation coming out of Detroit. In an era when so many artists try to stake a claim to be ‘real’, Lady Bain has walked a path that makes her more ‘real’ than most.
Just four years ago Cassandra Bain was a hard working Detroit police officer who found herself in a near fatal car accident. It ended her career and tragedy struck again when she lost the love of her life to dementia. Real life can be painful, but can also guide us to new places. A chance visit from a high school friend reminded Cassandra of a special talent, tucked away. During her rehabilitation she began to sing again, and Bain is no ordinary singer.
Drawing passion and soul from her Baptist Church singing roots, Lady Bain’s voice is also cut through with the pain and rawness of a real life, lived. Influenced by Nat King Cole, Sam Cooke, Nancy Wilson, to name just a few, Lady Bain’s vocal is both classic and fresh. Her unique phrasing marks her out as an R&B talent with something worth paying special attention to. Lady Bains’s island heritage adds edge and spice to a sophisticated performance; the truth of her life experience forges an original sound that echoes the legendary singers that shaped her style. Bain even started out in the 80s singing alongside the legendary Martha Reeves. There is integrity here; style and real substance. Available across all social media platforms and about to make a splash on the scene, such is her gift, Lady Bain simply demands to be heard. Seek out a modern day classic - listen to Lady Bain today.
I am primarily a multimedia artist who happens to play guitar. I will use my voice from time to time. I terms of guitar playing it would be rock. But, I grew up with RnB so I bounce around.

Barbie and Wills write all original music together sharing ideas as each track is created. Barbie plays keys and does vocals. I look forward to networking with musicians as I am a SOLO recording artist working with Studio Rebels I am Grateful For Much Of The Love n Motivational Support of my Sister/Cousins Charlotte Carolle and Arnaldo, Dakota, Lily-Almonte and Gary Eckstein. I Fell in Love with Music since infancy, My Parents told me It was the only thing that soothed me and gave me vivid beautiful dreams as I grew and it became my place of Tranquility and Equilibrium. I have had a love relationship with God and Music that no other relationship could ever rise above. No matter what was going on in my life music always had a place that gave me wholeness, self expression and self-esteem since early Childhood. My Journey throughout the music business has for most of my life been one of performing and developing my Craft for God and Inspiring others. Born Theresa Eckstein , a native of Springfield, MA I Have been pursuing Music since 8 yrs old and earlier at home under direct training from my Father/Brother:Robert/Richard Eckstein 32 yrs veteran and mentor of WTCC radio 90.7 fm Great Black Music Jazz and trained in Music/Dance @ at Dunbar Music Community Program under Frank Hatchett and Souliman Music Director. I've been involved throughout all my schooling years in Church Choir, Community Music School and Youth Choir Directing etc, Later adding Top 40 bands and recording my first 2 Singles on the Physical Attraction CD Project and prior to that recorded with Ross Cogman Freestyle Music and R&B. My Jazz Movement grew in 2010 with the urging of my son to write more. Having been led into the music industry via way of top artists who recognized my gifts and throughout my life has helped me too maintain consistency with creating music which in turn strengthened my knack for poetry and songwriting and now I've ventured out on Solo and Collaborative Projects. My advice for any up and coming artists is to self , invest, promote and stay motivated no matter what. Never give up on your goals when you know deep down in your gut you will succeed and are the real deal. Utilize Social Media and the internet Professionally, never get caught up in tabloid like conversations, Be above that and stay Classy. Be ready to accept the negative and the positive and know in your soul attention is what counts, but how you carry yourself is and should reflect all about the good qualities they love in your music. I don't see music as Male dominated anymore, Women are making great strides and nothing can compare to a woman's pouring her heart into song and words of strength that can identify with other women. A man can't do it quite like a woman or sing a love song to a man she loves. I stay humble in that my gift is recognized as just that, and when I get feedback from fans that I have Blessed them with Inspiration and encouragement due to my music, My purpose in pleasing God is my reward. He comes 1st in my life. Without him I would never be able to do all the things that I can. I know it is he that is guiding me at all times and I a truly grateful for that, In that his will be done. My music since going Solo in 2010 has a new Flavor of Hip Hop Jazz I cross enrich with Multiple Genre Compositions I build upon with Love and Inspirational Lyrics I often meditate on. I enjoy adapting to modern Technology and work at Masterminding High Quality Sound/Visual Platform. I am Building on my Filming and Graphic Editing/ Studio Production Skills and Public Speaking TV/Radio personality. As in addition to Music, I am big fan of Photography and Networking. I would love to in the near future expand into some acting as well. I would Love for my Legacy to be an inspiration to others to never letanyone ever discourage you in your pursuit of living a life long dream incorporated into a fullfilling life. I am Jazz and personify that as a result of my family history with Jazz and would like the importance of educating children in Jazz and it's history as it came about to be implemented as a must in school curriculuum as well as keep music in schools. My Father always told me, "If You Learn Jazz , you can Branch off and do anything in music. It is a foundation. Once you get it, I mean really get it! You get how music operates with the soul. I would Like to Thank God First and foremost for being my light along my life pathways andprotector and for Blessing me with this gift, that many times Satan tried to steer me from and convince me I didn't have. I Thank My Children for believing in me and supporting me in the sacrifices we all have made in doing this as a team. My Father, and Grandfather , May they Rest In Peace for passing on the inspiration and motivation in being who they were in regards to music, My Eldest Brother Richard for continuing teaching me Jazz once dad had passed, and lastly but not at all of the least my Beloved Supporters and Fans, People Backing me and Reaching out to me in the Spirit of Love that keeps me doing what I do as an Artist.Check Out My Profile

I still spend a lot of time writing music like I did back home an still do my drawings especially for my kids, But as you get older in life things become more depressing,. there are worries on top of worries, like you never had when you was a kid, I guess you lose the old nerve I would say, but as things went through my life as young kid, I was so experienced in life just like young adult, I guess it follows down in generation I think more experienced, then any normal kid for only at the age of 10, I know almost everything about life, an what it was all about just wasn't old enough to be more responsible in life. because my mom & dad always done for us, as a parent would do for their children. but there come a time in my life , that I had to be more responsible in life. in lots of things that my mom & dad couldn't help me with, but I always asked them for advice in many things about life, But as I got older I learned many new things in my life as a young kid .just as I was growing up I had to be more responsible in life about things more serious in my life, so i realized its time for me to do whats best for myself, an not ask for any advice from my family but learned on my own more or less , As a young kid turning at the age of 13.
