MUSICIAN NETWORKING/ SHARING INFO: The More Ya' Know!!!!...

WELCOME ALL... This Group is Designed For Us All With-In The POZE FAMILY, Yes That's YOU, My Friend :) and others interested in Us- to Discuss, Share, Comment on the things we come across in our everyday hustlle n Bustling Lives That can Benefit one another.  I find sharing and Friendliness will get you to the right places, no need to worry about who's gonna SUCCEED beyond you, when you reach out for others, God Blesses You and I With the Prosperity you seek. Look at Brenda K Starr for example ,She Brought Mariah Carey out of her Background Vocalists to be in the Spotlight and she knew some might consider her a much better vocalist because of her High Falcetto range, etc.. and IDK  if any of you know of Artist Brenda K Starr but her successes are indeed great for her, she branched out embracing her Latin Jazz Roots and Nuyuerican  Club House and R&B Styles ,She has had a clothing Line called BODY GLOVE,.. etc...So! ....let's help eachother out..

Cause remember!!

...sometimes it's not what you know, it's who you know and how you left an impact on them.   May God Bless You All  ABUNDANTLY.   XOXOXO  LADII TC Eckstein, Vocalese :)

Saw an artist from this page in the club and I complimented him on his video. He looked at me kind of funny and asked, "Who are you?" Another artist whispered something in his ear and his attitude changed. This artist is talented but he doesn't have a following. He probably would have a hard time getting 500 people to downland a mixtape. He often goes on rants on facebook about how fans don't support unsigned artists here. If I was a fan, would I still be one after seeing how rude and cocky he was at first? I have been fortunate to meet and party with some celebrites and most are more humble and down to earth than some unsigned artists. Imagine a music mogul who is more humble than an unsigned artist with no following??? See...one (the music mogul) understands that this business is built on RELATIONSHIPS and the other has not learned that lesson yet.

I wonder how many artists think like a potential fan when they market their music on social media? When a company sends you junk mail what do you do with it? A lot of artists market their music like junk mail. Market your music outside the box. Personalize it!.._NEBA

Never Stop Exploring Your Mind

From my own experiences, getting further as a musician involves exploring your mind. You know. That 90% of our brain scientists claim we never use. I find myself on a daily basis asking myself, what can I do to separate myself and stand out, or…Continue

****REPOST****

A short pet peeve that should be used as a "helpful hint"...I regularly (i.e., daily) get requests from artists to submit material to me for various reasons (in most cases they are looking for someone to "shop" them), and those submissions are still commonly in CD form (which being somewhat of a traditionalist, I prefer getting so that I can actually get a "feel" for the product and glean what I can from the visual elements). Like many, I am a "load and go" guy...I insert the CD into my computer, upload it to my iTunes library and have it available to listen to on my cloud when I get a free moment. I am still amazed that I often insert a CD into my PC and none of the track names/artist names appear in the iTunes menu (meaning I have a ton of tracks listed in my library as Track # by Unknown). It drives me a little nuts that artists don't take the time to upload the necessary meta-data to Gracenote so that their material doesn't get lost somewhere in industry folks' "Unknown" library void. Don't let that happen...it takes very little time to do what has to be considered a "basic" step. Thanks Tony Timpano

  • I received a message from an artist from New Jersey thanking me for posting information about a music conference. He found a manager, producer and connected with a few A&Rs. He added these contacts on twitter and made more contacts. He spend $55 dollars for the conference. Less than a night at the club. I know several artists who paid 200+ for a TV contest that never aired or a slot on a "mixtape to the labels." I wonder which was the SMARTER investment?

Tip of the Day: Most people discover music by video (17%) so have a YouTube account with good video content! If a potential fan discovers your music on a blog (6%) and likes your music, he wants to share it on Facebook (12%) or twitter (4%) with his friends and family (12%). Putting together a blog campaign and having a YouTube account with good content addresses how 54% of people discover new music.   -NEBA

Amen Solizs, It's enough to break one's spirit, But They Goodness we have others out there to cheer us on to keep us motivated instead of knocking us for even trying.  One thing I'll never regret is having the courage to go for it no matter what happens, doing it from the heart is how God Rewards me, nevermind the haters or obstacles.  Faith wins all the time.  God sens us the right people in our lives and cleans house for us if we let him, changes can be painful, n frightening... but they always mean something new is coming.  We just gotta believe God is doiung what's best for us.  You are so right about Poze..  Having the internet is such a great thing today for musicians and I truly believe they should take advantage of everything it has to offer.  Poze is one offer I was not expecting and am so grateful for.  Much Love Solizs! GM :) XOXOXO My Friend!

Valley Of That - "Rains"

I'm 24 year old musician from the DMV. I grew up singing in competitive choirs but switched to rap and pop, I've been writing and singing for 6 years, I'm starting a new project based on indie/folk blended with hip hop called Valley of That. "Rain" is about a girl I broke up with because she was hard to get along with, but I didn't really want to. Valley Of That ·…See More
