We were not big fans of Twitter until we learned how to use it and learned how easy it is to network. We have noticed that many artists aren't using Twitter. What are some of the reasons you are not using Twitter to network and promote your music?

ANONYMOUS:   I myself learned many "tricks" while I owned Crystal Tear Radio, my webhost provider gave me lots of pointers & it CAN work, even with my podcast I reach more people, both bands & listeners via twitter than FB!

ANONYMOUS:  We gained almost 500 followers overnight after learning a few tricks. We use the tweepi and add people who have a following ratio of 75% to 100%.

ANONYMOUS:   That's new? I'll have to look into it

ANONYMOUS:   i want to use twitter to promote my music but its still kinda foreign to me

ANONYMOUS:   Biggest reason I don't use my Twitter is the learning curve. Just never felt comfortable to me. I'll be checking these videos out, thanks for the point in the right direction

ANONYMOUS:   Alot of Artist just spam links on Twitter which is not effective

ANONYMOUS:   Also it you click "log out" using your Twitter account you don't pick a paid plan. We are using the "free" account option.  Also do a little research on the importance of hashtags. Things like #unsigned or #indie will have opportunities for unsigned and indie artists (especially on Google +). 

 

We had all of the same issues. Our account was basically abandoned for 2 years. Those videos helped us grow our account and drive traffic to our website.
