This year I released a Christmas EP titled "It's A Pixy Kind O' Christmas with four songs I wrote and sang. Rather than keep all songs in one type of genre, I decided to write a song that could appeal to any type of listener --kids, Christians, Pagans-- so I wrote a pop song, a religious song, a melancholy song that reflects loss and faith, and a kid's song.

The first song is called "An American Christmas".  I asked my partner Primcron 100 if he had a beat that was upbeat, because I wanted to create an upbeat Christmas song.  When he provided me the track, I thought it was perfect.  As I listened to it I brainstormed trying to come up with lyrics.  Finally, I just envisioned myself walking down a street in a quaint little town in America on Christmas Eve, and voila! The second song is called "Christmas Rumor".  Now this is the religious song of my EP, and I actually created this track myself.  It's a longer song, with four verses, an instrumental part, a bridge and an ending, but the four verses were needed to tell the story.  And the story is basically the "Christmas Story" in the Bible that Christians read every Christmas that tells about the birth of Jesus. The birth being the "rumor" in the song.  I just carried the story a little farther, from birth to adulthood.  I have provided the link on YouTube.  Enjoy!

The third song is called "My Christmas Angel".  This is my melancholy song about a woman who lost her mate sometime after the last Christmas, and it is her reflecting upon how things "used to be."  But, at the end, she comes to realize that it wasn't his fault that he left her, that it was his "time to fly", and so it is also a song about faith.  I have provided the link on YouTube. My fourth song is my fun kid's song called "A Dinosaur for Christmas".  I grew up with songs like "All I Want for Christmas Are My 2 Front Teeth" and "A Hippopatamus for Christmas" and we have not had an artist sing a fun song like that in so long, so I decided I was going to!  So, I thought and thought about what to write about, and then one day put myself in my 12-year old's shoes, and thought about what I'd want if I was his age.  And, dinosaur just popped into my head lol!  How cool would it be to have a big dinosaur, herbivore, of course, like a big, green Brontosaurus!  So, that is what this song is about!  I hope it makes you smile, and chuckle, and be like "That Pixy is so cray cray! I hope that you enjoyed hearing my "uniqueness" lol  I know I am different, but I strive to be.  We have too many cookie cutter artists today, and maybe society will realize that one day and we Indie artists will be the one they seek after instead of all the mainstreamers.  Till then, we Indie artists just keep on creating and supporting each other!
