- About Me
- My name is Sara. First and foremost I'm a Christian and a lot of the music I write is an expression of my faith. I sing and play guitar on my own time and I write all my own lyrics and music (if you want a CD, please contact me!).
I've played multiple different roles in a few different bands since I've started playing music. For starters, I've been leading worship at my church for over five years now. I drummed for a local band for a time, I sang harmony for another in 2009, and I played guitar in the first band I was in back in 2007. I'm experienced in many areas and I've found that I'm able to adapt quite well to any style or genre.
I love music in general, and my taste is about as large of a range as a phonebook. I'll listen to anything from screamo to rap to dubstep, and a lot of other genres. Basically, if I like the way it sounds I'll listen to it. :-)
I'm a major perfectionist when it comes to music, especially my own. I often find myself pointing out specific things that others would probably not even notice. I'm the same way with my guitar... if I can hear one string out of tune, I will keep attempting to get it back in tune until I no longer hear that annoying pulsating sound that comes from one string being too flat or sharp. See what I mean? :-]
Now I want to take the time to tell you about the reason my best friend and I wrote "Tribute To." My friend Cindy's daughter, Christina Whittaker, went missing over two years ago and her family has been left devastated and broken hearted. Christina has a young daughter as well, and is sadly missing out on her growing up. I've attached a link to a group on Facebook ran by Christina's family, and I want to welcome anyone to join. Tribute To was written as a message of hope specifically to Cindy and the rest of Christina's family. But the reason we named it "Tribute To" and left it at that was this: We want YOU to be able to relate to the song just as much as anyone else, and if you're going through a hard time please remember that there is always hope.

- Well, when I think about I don't really have influences because I don't try to mimic any specific singer or band. I do have people I RESPECT, though... like Michael Barnes from the band RED, Hayley Williams from Paramore, Lacey Mosley from Flyleaf, Brent Smith from Shinedown, Kim Walker, Kari Jobe, Barlowgirl, and a crap ton more....

I know there are MANY engineers who do it out of the love for the art, and you could, in return, just plug their work, websites, etc.
