Joy Villa's sensual, sultry vocals and lyrics shine from the soul drenched depths of "Darkness" to the hopeful message of "Beautiful" and paint a melodic, hard driving rock pop and folk saga telling her story of travel, triumph over addicition and desire.

In March 2014, award winning U.K producer Barrie Gledden and globally touring rock singer songwriter Joy Villa worked tirelessly all day and into the night recording these final cuts for "I Make The Static".

Joy Villa's lyrical concepts of sorrow, change, growth, powerlessness, control, addiction, sensuality, and her gypsy lifestyle blend into rock guitars, crunchy drumbeats, sensual vocals and melodic pop elements.

At the end of their studio sessions, Joy had decided to do one extra track, unique and organic to their time together. Joy came into the studio the next morning to discover Barrie had drempt and recorded a whole new song! She rewrote the lyrics, and it became the title track to her rock, pop, and folk flavored EP, "I Make The Static". Zing! A perfect combo of lust and grinding guitars, all complimented by Joy's sultry, sensual vocals. From the deeply personal redemption track "The Darkness" to the folksy fresh "Vagabonds", this is a polished and intensely personal listening expirence.
