Christopher Dean Sullivan is a media renowned, New York State Multiple Congressional, Senate, Assembly Merit, County and Municipal Arts Award recipient, highly versed bassist of many musical languages:
Jazz, Funk, Reggae, Latin, Fusion, Caribbean, Indian, African and Eurocentric perceptions, and more. Chris is well traveled throughout the US, the Caribbean Islands and Europe. He has shared the stage and/or recorded with Stanley Jordan, Archie Shepp, Charli Persip, Yusef Lateef, Najee, Grant Green, Joe Lovano, Sheila Jordan, Horace Parlan, Della Griffin, Onaje Allen Gumbs, Judi Silvano, Carl Grubbs, Pucho and the Latin Soul Brothers, Irene Reed, Stanley Turrentine , Freddie Hubbard, Barbara Sfraga, Joe Giardullo, Joe McPhee, just to name a few, as well as leads his own ensembles within the U.S. and abroad. He has Performed and recorded in two, or more, bass ensembles in college assemblies including performing and radio recording with Henry Grimes (WKCR), and CD Poet release with Christian McBride (E.J. Antonio: Rituals from the marrow: Recipe for a jam session).
