Christopher La'mont Foster was born in Jonesboro, La on February 26, 1978. He became interested in music at the age of 9. Christopher excelled as a basketball player for Grambling High School. Upon graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army. After completing his term, Christopher returned home to Ruston, La. He used his enlistment bonus to purchase music equipment.
Christopher signed a deal with local music label, Tipitoe Records. His group, Da Trigga released their first record, Armageddon within the same year. The record was a regional success, which earned him national attention. New York based label, Silva Dom Records signed him to a production deal in 1999. Christopher then moved to New York to produce a record for a group called, "The Certified Hustlers". Over the next two years, he was featured in numerous national magazines which included "XXL", "Billboard", "Murder Dog" and "King". Afterwards, Christopher created Kajun Season Entertainment which is now known as HBMG and CL Hits.
Christopher transitioned from rap to blues/ southern soul after he was instrumental in the development of southern soul artist, Uncle Wayne. He was behind the scenes, managing, promoting, hosting and producing for approximately eight years. After the death of his grandmother, Christopher decided to start recording blues and southern soul songs to sell to artists. However, a friend persuaded him to release the songs himself. Hence, the birth of Christopher La' Mont, southern soul artist! He has performed on shows with several well known artists.
Some of Christopher's awards and accolades are: being awarded the key to the City of Ruston, La, appearing on #1 TLC Hit series Memphis Women of Police, former dj @ PSC, and graduating from Jon Casablanca Acting & Modeling Agency in Memphis, TN. He is currently on the Country Boy Lovin Tour The New Breed Tour, The Woman too Woman Tour & member of the Southern Soul Group LCJ
